Notes / Commercial Description:
An onslaught of the senses. It starts with big, roasty malt flavor that gives way to rich caramel and toffee notes. YETI gets its bold hop character from an enormous quantity of American hops.

12 ounce bottle -> snifter

A - dark mahogany brown, almost black with the thinnest of heads, only a small retention ring, and no lacing to speak of.

S - Coffee, chocolate, soy sauce

T - Very chocolate malty with coffee notes. The finish is warm due to the high ABV but a soy sauce salty taste just kind of ruins it for me.

M - very nice and thick

O - lots good about this one; I just wish the soy sauciness was not there.

Had on tap poured in a frosted glass (not by choice) so I had to sit on it a bit to warm up.

A: poured pitch black with that dark tan head thick and fluffy.
S: Chocolate malt is evident but a nice oak smell caught me too. Mild coffee tones As well.
T: Perfect blend of chocolate and coffee followed by an earthy finish with hints of smokiness to it. Finishes slightly bitter (in a good way).
M: Bitter finish coats the tongue and leaves the smokiness around for a while. Full-bodied flavor.
O: Real pumped to have found this on tap locally. And to have it served in a pint glass for $6.95 isn't bad either. Perfect balance of flavor for the style and a winner in my book.

A - Jet black, like oil in a glass. Thin head which dissipates almost immediately.

S - Heavily roasted malts, black coffee, licorice, alcohol, and dark fruits.

T - Follows the nose, for the most part. Immediately punched by malts, followed by chocolate and coffee notes, along with licorice on the back, and finished up with an alcohol bite. There's also a dark fruit presence in there as well.

M - Thick, smooth heavy mouth feel. Carbonation is there, but it's certainly not overwhelming. There's also the slightest alcohol burn on the back of the throat at the end.

O - Absolutely delicious imperial. This is officially one of my favorite imperials. Highly recommended. I'd like to find this one on tap somewhere.
