STRAWBERRY RHUBARB SOUR ALE is a gift for the senses. Strawberry is the yin to rhubarb’s yang—the sweet to the tart. This beautiful partnership creates a beer that glows ruby in the glass, bursts with strawberry aroma, and bites with every sip. Bright and effervescent, this sour is a fun and refreshing, lip-puckering treat perfect for every occasion, any time of the year.

Salmon colored with half-inch head. Both fruits present on nose. Sea salt and pink peppercorn make an appearance. Refreshing and moderately sour, like your mom.

Pours kinda ruby red grapefruit-ish pink, fairly cloudy, with a generous head that lasted a bit, leaving sticky lacing.

Aroma is kinda muted, with mostly the underlying sour beer coming thru

Flavor has more strawberry, with just a touch of rhubarb, on top of a pretty solid sour base beer.

Overall it's a damn solid beer, and while it may not be the end-all of all beers, it's worthy of the label Great Divide*.

*And I say that with utmost respect for the makers of Yeti, which is rightly legendary

Got this in cans from Discount Drinks in Farmington Hills.

Appearance - Served in a pint, pours an orange/gold color with a thick, off pinkish foam with little bits of lacing.

Smell - Smells of rhubarb, strawberry, oranges, wheat, coriander.

Taste - Hard to tell the rhubarb but can pick up on the strawberry, wheat, salt and pepper.

Mouthfeel - Light with fair, medium amounts of carbonation.

Overall - Pretty good sour, just was not as novel as I was expecting.

The brew is pale gold (I don't get any pink) in color, with a thick, white head. The aroma is enticingly fruity and tart; one whiff, and I want to dive right in. The carbonation is subtle; I could use a little more. The combination of strawberry and rhubarb flavors is stunningly well-executed. I could not be happier with the tartness level; it is perfect. So many "sour" beers are either excessive or deficient; Great Divide got it right with this one.

This is a wonderful, entertaining, refreshing beer.

I might be bias cuz this is one of my favorite pie flavors as well and they matched it pretty well I think. This is an excellent sour and I can't wait to have it again, not extremely tart either I good balance of sweet and tart similar to the pie.

Lowering my rating. On tap the first time this was amazing but it has never ever ever ever tasted the same to me since and appears very average
