This American pale ale opens with big citrus and pine notes, then smooths out with a faint toasted malt character and dry, slightly bitter finish. Denver Pale Ale is your go-to beer from city to trail and back again, no matter what the time or season.

Pours a slightly hazy copper-orange with a monstrous fluffy off-white head that retains well and shows some lacing.
Its aroma is biscuity caramel malt and grassy floral hops with some citrus and pepper.
The flavor is sweet (almost candy-like) caramel malts, with some biscuit and a mild bitter finish. The bitterness in the aftertaste and finish comes out a little more as it warms. A little on the thin side.
Overall, a little too sweet for me, although it got better as it warmed. Not much of the classic English PA hoppiness.

See through and light golden from tap at the Hard Rick Denver. Not much nose to speak of what’s there is floral and slightly fruity. Thin and malty, this might not be my favorite. Ok carbonation and thicker then you would think.

L- Poured into a tulip glass a 2F white foam head is formed along with some moderate lace as it settles. Color is mid gold and about 70% transparent.
N- Barley hits the nose along with just a pinch of yeast. And there is a hint of corn aroma even though it does not have it as an ingredient.
T- The barley hits the palate first then followed immediately with a rounded tang and lightly bitter hops. There is a bit of flint like sharpness that is highlighted by the carbonation.
M- Medium body and smooth with moderate cloying thickness on the finish. Carbonation is medium with lots of fine bubbles adding a lightly crisp counterpoint to the barley body.
O- A nice ale that bears a resemblance to a few recently tasted Pilsners and Lagers. The character that sets it apart is the ale tang. I would have liked a less cloying feel and less bitterness. Not quite up to being included in my rotation but I would not object to having another.

Need this again for sure for a better experience, only had one can and it was okay, definitely not bad but probably my least favorite from Great Divide so far. I Like Car Camper way more I think regardless though.
Update: fun to have on tap now but still pretty bore snore unfortunately. Upping for being a Homer

Sitting at the Denver airport on a two-hour delay, on tap poured into a chalice glass.
L- Pours a clear, golden color with a finger of white foam that dissipates and leaves a generous lacing throughout.
S- Faint, but toasted malty, bready notes, some orange/citrus, light floral hops, and honey stand out
T- Similar to the nose. Citrus, malt, honey, cereal grain
F- Light to medium bodied, smooth, slightly dry finish, very drinkable
O- Good, but nothing really stands out here. Slightly citrus and watery, much less hoppy than other pale ales which at least makes it very drinkable.

A little more malt in this pale ale than I'm use to but that's not a bad thing. It's got some fruit up front followed by some pine and then malt. It does a have a bitter finish.
