look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.25

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Surly Darkness chalice glass. Bottled on December 13, 2013.

Appearance: Pours a deep copper amber orange with a moderate amount of rising bubbles. Solid two fingers of off white head which slowly fade into a thin creamy layer. Leaves a lot of creamy lacing around the glass.

Smell: A earthy, floral, and juicy hop forward aroma with big hints of grass, pine, and citrus. Upfront mix of earthy, floral, and herbal hops. Dank hints of wet grass and spicy pine resin. Citrus hop hints of orange peel, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, and pineapple. Bready scent of malt with hints of caramel, grains, biscuit, cracker, and yeast. A very good earthy aroma.

Taste: Like the aroma hints at, a very earthy and piney hop forward taste with big notes of grass and citrus. Big mix of earthy, herbal, and floral hops upfront. Wet taste of grass. Big presence of dank pine resin. Citrus hop taste with notes of orange peel, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, and pineapple. Sweet and bready malt background with notes of caramel, biscuit, grains, yeast, and cracker. Very hop forward as expected. A pretty good taste.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy, oily, and chewy. Finishes pretty dry. Alcohol heat is masked well.

Overall: A very good Imperial IPA. Its more earthy hop driven than the more citrus driven West Coast style. Very good piney notes.

Poured 12oz bottle dated 11/11/13 into a new Belguim globe glass

A-Pours a deep hazy amber colour with a small creamy tan finger head. Head dissipates moderate with decent lacing.

S-Aroma of slight pine, strong citrus fruits scents melon and apricot, and caramel undertones.

T-Taste is not overly sweet, bitterness is a little more pronounced but fairly nicely balanced. Same as aroma.

M-Full body, smooth creamy mouth feel at the beginning and slight dry at the end, good carbonation.

O-Overall a strong IPA which hides the 10 ABV and very good brew have to get more only bought single.

A-dark orange gold with a thick and foamy light tan head

S-smells like a nice mix of fresh hop pellets. Smells like how it does when your adding hops while brewing. Smells real good. Medium strength. Some citrus to it as well.

T- comes in with a very bitter flavor of hops. Reminds me of chewing on fresh hop leaf. Only thing is that the flavors themselves aren't too strong. It's a good flavor with a small hint of grainy pumpernickel. The bitterness is lasting, the flavors aren't.

M-almost watery. Not much carbonation. Watery finish.

O-it's an easy drinking double IPA. They flavors are mild, but there's no off flavors which is a plus, and the bitterness is all that's expected from the style. I don't expect people to go crazy over this, but I recommend it to IPA fans who want something different.

Bottled on 3/25. Clear dark amber color, nice big fluffy head, great retention and lacing. Aroma was pretty sweet up front, with just a bit of citrus and pineapple in the nose. The flavor was pretty malty, with just a touch of pineapple and some light grapefruit flavors, a bit of a malt bomb, guess it didn't hold up too well. The mouthfeel was pretty thick and creamy, nice. Overall, not a bad beer, but not great either. I've had some not-so-fresh Titan IPAs that seemed to hold up very well, perhaps this one wasn't store in ideal conditions. Still will be buying this in the future though.

A - Orange, slight haze, very nice finger of off white head. Little lacing left behind. Slight haze.

S - Pine resin, light biscuit.

T - Very hop forward, malt is in there somewhere because it cuts the hops, but not enough to really say what it is.

M - Medium body, medium carb. Nice coating of the palate.

O - Excellent DIPA. 10% ABV is well hidden. I would definitely recommend and seek out again.
