S- orange marmalade, yeast, pineapple

Bread, funk, and dry. The hops and the beer dance well together in your mouth.

Taste rating in words: it's that great feeling of the last dance of the night

Pours cloudy with a bubbly head. Smooth drink with a slight sour taste lingering.

Originally picked this out as the same name as my daughter. Delighted I chose this on a trip through Colorado. Light, and bold in flavor. Can't wait till I find again

Is this a tripel or a saison?

L: A hazy golden-orange with some nice-looking pure white head. Ample visible carbonation rising up the beer. Looks beautiful.

S: I don't quite have the olfactory sophistication to describe what I'm smelling but it smells very saison-y. Seems like a good balance between malts and saison spice/funk.

T: Not the best saison I've tasted, but certainly one of the better ones. It has the nice bready taste you expect from a saison, with just the right amount of spice/funk. Actually maybe a bit more funk would have been nice, but I'd rather there be too little than have too much and have it taste bad.

F: Medium-full bodied, average carbonation. Very easy to drink, bitterness is fairly mild.

O: Overall, this is a pretty good saison, and something I would purchase again.

Had this for the first time on a trip to the brewery in downtown Denver. Pours a strong golden profile, 1/2" white head, good retention. Aroma was farmyardish but leaning to the cleaner, more straw like side of things. The spice rack is present on this one.

Taste reveals more spice rack, was hoping for more of a classic cleaner grassy/hay like malt and yeast interplay, but instead the clove and spice rack were leading the way. The carbonation is nice, but it seems like a little heavy in terms of malt and alcohol on this one, which maybe if they cut back on the spice rack, it wouldn't need such heavy legs. I guess if you are the type of guy who might be into a more bitter than necessary and imperialized saison, you might be down with this beer. This was just as much of a tripel as it was a saison.

Pours a hazy, but pretty, deep straw with abundant effervescence rising from the bottom of the goblet. The pour produces a huge, soap/champagne bubble hybrid, somewhat lasting, glowing white head that, for it's size, leaves only minor speckling of motes & streaky lace. A thick white surface cap & collar remain. The lively aroma dances in the nostrils: very fruity (heavy to white fruits), bready, banana, clove, other spices, Belgian wet hay & earth yeastiness, black pepper & alcohol hints waft up as a backdrop. Taste is bready & yeasty with white fruit, spice, peppercorn, wheat banana & clove, alcohol & some Belgian funk in the slightly wet finish. The drying aftertaste is bready & lightly bitter with faint spice & peach. Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied with high carbonation, smooth, creamy & mouth coating, lively with a prickly, peppery but pleasant bite. Becomes lightly astringent & dry in the aftertaste. Very flavorful. It's my guess that small amount of rice used imparts the incredible smoothness found in this brew. My go to American Craft Saison when available.
