On tap at Capone's.

Poured a medium and cloudy yellow color with a smaller sized white head. Aromas of yeast, some citrus, and 'musty'. Tastes of citrus, a little fruity (bananas), and spices. Refreshing and drinkable.

I usually do not like saisons at all. This one beats most for me (so maybe it's no good for a lover of saisons.

Right off the bat it hits you with a great yeast flavor. Complex, rich and somewhat malty.

It tastes more like a lot of wheat beers and that's an improvement. The burp is yummy. I will continue to avoid the style, but I don't regret geting this one.

12 oz bottle was poured into a snifter.

Appearance: A one finger head was poured that reduced to a thin layer quickly. It is a hazy golden straw yellow with some vision of bubbles coming up through the glass.

Smell: Pepper spiciness, vanilla, pilsner malts, apple, pear, powdery yeast, and a

Taste: Same as above. Nice and traditional and no one flavor overpowers the other.

Mouthfeel: A bit smooth, medium to high carbonation, a little dry, medium bodied, a little spicy, and a little chewy.

Overall: Pretty awesome saison. It's been awhile, but I'll enjoy more in the near future.

Serving Type - Bottle

Appearance - Light golden yellow, fizzy, foamy white 1 inch head, carbination bubbles, and some lacing.

Smell - Yeasty floral, grassy, grainy, lemon, honey, floral fruits, apples, grapes.

Taste - Floral fruits with huge lemon and grape flavor. Has a alcohol ting mixed along with grapes, yeast and sugars. Has the classic grassy farmhouse ale flavor, almost sweet bubblegum like. Honey comes in at the end to mellow the sour fruits down.

Mouthfeel - Its light on tounge, coats it with fruits, sugars and such. Palette gets more fruits, lemon and honey, along with some yeast and alcohol. Aftertaste is dry, sour and bitter.

Overall - Very well done, lots of fruits and sugars, and a little alcohol. Smooth, easy to drink and a pleasure to drink. Excellent springtime ale.

Tasted: Feb 3 2013

A – Pours with a big bright white 2-3 finger head. Leaves nice thick lacing all the way down. Is a bright hazy yellow, nice looking beer.

S – Citrus, lemon tart cake. Some biscuit here, slightly sweet.

T – Zesty fruits, lemon, lime, orange. Some pepper here too, tart and crisp.

M – Light, crisp and airy. With a bit of a lingering sticky sweetness on the finish. This is very refreshing and would be great on a lawn mowing day.

O – Good surprise as I typically don't care for the style; this is bright, refreshing and full of flavor, without a ton of crazy overpowering yeastiness.
