Poured from a bottle into a stemless wine glass. Pours a hay yellow with strong carbonation (bubbles continue to rise from the bottom of the glass easily 15-20 minutes after pouring) and a half finger white foam head. Nose is belgian spice most predominantly but light. The palate too is approptiately light and without adjunct, leaning heavily into the spice, with hints of banana and even trace bits of clove. Mouthfeel is medium-light and crisp as is appropriate. An outstanding, simple and straightforard saison. Very solid.

Poured from a can into a pils glass. Canned March 2017.
Color is lite gold, with some cloudiness. Great two finger head that disapated rather quickly. No lacing. I think it is too cold.
Smells of banana and spice spilled into green grass coming up through hay. That adds up to barnyard to me. Some mineral too.
Mostly banana and spice taste, with old green hay. That makes for funk in my book. I love that about farmhouse ales. The more rotten, the better.
Has a slight thickness, (maybe smooth ?) to it. Certainly not watery.
A very good farmhouse ale in my book! I buy it as long as it is in my neighborhood. Wish more brands were in my area!!

12oz can says canned on 3/1/17, 7 weeks ago. Hazy orange lets a lot of light through but obscures details. Some head that quickly disappears. Smells orange and floral but a little funky. Taste matches smell, with some clove and pepper spiciness. Mouthfeel is clean with a little bite which I find surprising since carbonation is not evident - slight floral aftertaste. Overall, a good saison, well worth trying. Is this more French style saison than Belgian? Maybe, based on my limited experience. Faults - carbonation seems to quickly disappear and the taste is a little more floral than I like.

Almost clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has farmhouse yeast notes, flowers and some sweet citrus notes. Taste is quite weird. It starts sweet and floral but continues with some dirty rags and dishwater. Light body, medium plus carbonation. The taste of this beers is quite unpleasant, what a shame.

Cloudy yellow appearance, minimal head. Aromas of yeast and maybe orange peel. Lots of carbonation, with a mouthfeel like that of Champagne. Slightly tart, but not too much so, not like some of the true sours I’ve tried, with notes of yeast and citrus, and a finish like sourdough bread. Light body, very drinkable.

In a trade with Marty
Bottled Mar 24 2016 at 42 degrees into a hand washed and dried JK snifter
Aroma – light and herbal with some spiciness
Head large (Maximum five cm, aggressive pour), white, creamy but very fizzy, settling to a creamy layer about one cm thick with scalloped edges.
Lacing – none.
Body – light yellow, cloudy – sediment from bottom of the bottle
Flavor – not much. Slightly herbal and spicy as in a dash of pepper. Neither flavor nor aroma from hops, malt, alcohol, nor diacetyl.
Palate – light, watery, soft carbonation

An innocuous concoction. This is easy to drink but the 7.3% ABV will creep up on you. One and done. Huh - this won a silver medal at GABF in 2010? I guess I’m just not tuned into farmhouse ales.

Appearance 3.75, Aroma 3.5, Flavor 3.5, Palate 3, Overall 3.

Bottled 9/19/14; drank 12/8/14 @ the Yarchives.

Poured from the bottle into a glass.

Murky orange/yellow hue.

Big bright white head; strong lace.

Banana & orange citrus nose.

Medium thin mouthfeel.

Orange citrus & banana flavors up front; mild clove & black pepper notes on the finish. Typical for the style, but the bright citrus note elevates this, making it easy to quaff.
