Appearance: very cloudy deep golden color with a thin head that recedes quickly with miniscule lacing. Lots of yeast sediment floating in suspension, moderate carbonation.
Aroma: wheat and mild toasted barley dominated by a fruity aroma and significant yeast presence.
Mouthfeel: between light and medium bodied, finish is somewhat dry.
Flavor: very bready -- like eating a slice of bread that contains fruit and nuts. Alcohol is completely concealed -- therefore at 7.3% this beer could easily sneak up on you.
Overall: just an excellent, easily drinkable, refreshing, and delicious farmhouse ale.

look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 3.75

Appearance - Pours a cloudy, straw yellow with a half finger of white head. Fairly Quick dissipation, resulting in a broken layer of suds across the surface. Virtually no lacing.

Smell - Yeasty Belgian aroma that hits on green apple tartness, light banana and a hint of spice.

Taste - Follows the nose. Green apple tartness at the forefront, with lesser notes of unripened banana. Zesty citrus notes. Light wheat undertone. Finishes with fruity twang and touch of spice.

Mouthfeel - Light in body with crisp, lively carbonation. Clean, semi-dry finish. Very nice drinker.

Overall - A nice saison, perfect for a hot summer day. Nothing I'd go out of my way for, but I could see myself putting away quite a few of these during a BBQ if Great Divide were to get distribution in Sacramento.
