Light straw color. Bright color. Bleach white head with okay retention.

Tangy lemon, tangy pineapple, powdery yeast chalk, farmhouse yeast with some intensity. Has twang. Not bad.

Stable saison. Flavor is spot-on to style. Peppery yeast, pith, wheaty twang, hints of tropical fruits. Some floral notes. Perhaps, white tea. A bit huffy in carbonation. Body feels right, if not close to average. Lacks complexity, but delivers as a solid craft saison. Would drink again, but not seek it out to do so. Let it land on my lap.

Pours pastel lemon yellow, hazed and subtly aglow. A very light blush if you look hard and a creamy head of white foam that falls fine and leaves lace as you drink. The nose is scrumptious pineapple. Sweet but also tangy. Some earthy yeast and a soft sweet biscuit malt. The re is no alcohol on the nose even though this one has a touch more abv than the usual for the style. Taste is sweet and malty. Surprising maltiness for the style and the body is unique. It's smooth and creamy. Soft yet crisp. How did they do that? The pineapple is so authentic with a sharp sweetness and a bit of twang. The malt is heavenly biscuit and there is a just a touch of alcohol in the drink. It's a light medicinal in the finish. Nothing to really offend and hardly even warms. Sweet juicy earthy and finishes dry with a spice.

This beer was a terrific surprise. It has a body that is so much more than you were expecting but doesn't give way to syrup or to heaviness. It's terribly sweet but has a lightness that seems puzzling. As it warms the spice comes to the nose and really makes this complex.

A - hay colored, small uneven head

S - orange peel, some grassiness

T - Refreshing start, with some sweetness of lemon peel, some wheat flavors, giving way to an odd - if not unpleasant - sour taste. The higher alcohol gives it a lemon drop shooter feel

m - bubbly - champagne like feel

Overall, not impressed. Maybe it would be better on a hot summer day. The complexity it has takes it away from style, and into a unwelcomed direction
