Pours a hazy golden with a medium off-white head. Smells of lemon and some sour grain. Taste begins with a tart citrus, then a mild grain, and finishing with an herbal, phenolic flavor. Mouthfeel is pretty good. Overall a pretty good Saison, a bit funkier than I prefer though.

Very earthy, just what you would expect from a farmhouse ale.

Mild flavor, little tartness, almost citrusy

12 oz bottle, poured into a goblet

Appearance: Pours a pretty, semi-cloudy, golden straw color with a quarter of a finger of white head that quickly dissolved away into a thin lacing of foam that covered the entire top of the beer.

Aroma: Wow, very aromatic! Lots of tropical fruit, such as pineapple, banana and orange, accented with some spices of black pepper, clove, coriander and grassy notes of clover.

Taste: Only ok. There’s some nice flavors of lightly toasted malt and wheat up front, followed by some odd flavors of an unidentifiable bitterness, a slight metallic tinge, and some other flavors that I really can’t describe. Odd beer. Bad bottle? Bad batch? It certainly doesn’t taste as good as it smells.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied to medium/thin. There’s a ton of carbonation, almost like a sparkling wine. With an ABV of 7.3%, there is no presence of alcohol on the palate.

Overall: This is an ok beer. I love the aroma, but the flavor was mot than a little off-putting.
