12oz bottle poured into a chalice.

A- a mostly clear gold/straw color with a bright white head that dissipates kinds quick, but there's some big bubbles that remain.

S- a whack of earthy belgian yeast, with some dried topical fruits.

T- A flash of biscuity malt, is quickly overrun by earthy yeast, some mild spiciness, and the dried tropical fruits (I'm getting pineapple and papaya) that last throughout the finish.

M- could use a bit more carbonation. medium bodied

O- a very nice, readily accessible saison. Well done.

Very easy drinking. Not too sour on the finish but it's there if you take the time. Great ABV for the taste. Good entry into the farmhouse ale wheelhouse.

Aroma is spicy yeast, bananas and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is complex spices, orange/citrus, complex bread from the different malts and a tart/tangy finish.

12 oz bottle purchased as part of 6-pack from Whole Foods and poured into a stemmed Spiegelau Pilsner glass. Just a bit too much sourness In the first few sips but, after that, it becomes a really nice beer. Could see this becoming one of my warm weather staples.

Poured from 12 oz. to wine glass.

A: Pours a hazy pale golden with a shade of pink. Bubbly carbonation.
S: Yeasty banana and citrus notes with some bubblegum.
T: Nice bit of sweetness. Some nice maltiness and some banana and bubblegum from the yeast.
M: Medium. A bit thicker than I would like.
O: Not a bad saison. The sweetness gives it a fuller body, which may make it not as refreshing as traditional saisons.

Ran out of beer while visiting the parents in beer wasteland and had to grab this one at a very annoying premium.

A white froth settles quickly into this hazy, yellow-orange with pinkish hues. Wheat, lemon and damn hay in the aroma. Tastes of lemon zest, orange, meringue, clove, banana and overripe pear. Dry all the way through and medium in body. Lingering fruit peel and subtle alcohol at the end.

Proving that beer is not only a life-sustaining, historically important beverage; paying a premium for said beverage (while in the sticks and desperate) also teaches one the economic value of preparation.

All situational/context issues aside, Colette is the definition of a reliable, go-to beer that should be readily available just about wherever you are.
