Style: American IPA
Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.10%

Notes / Commercial Description:
RUMBLE IPA is an American IPA with subtle nuance. Brewed with heavy handed additions of Pacific Northwest hops, this beer is gently aged on French and American oak resulting in a wonderful balance of bitterness, caramel sweetness, vanilla, and undertones of pine and citrus. Very inspiring.

Clear Copper color. Aroma Is peaty, hops and barley softened by the oak. Taste is a bit soapy, and bitter. Oak is there. Not great. ..feels and tastes stale. Disappointed."

Pale amber color, good clarity. Moderate sized white head, a bit creamy and with decent retention.
Initially smelled very oaky, but that dispersed. Some malty sweetness and muted citrus pine aromas
Big malt flavor up front, considerable amount of sweetness before the hop flavor emerges. Earthy hops and oak flavors meld decently. Finish is gently beitter with some oak. Lingering unpleasant hop flavor in finish.
Med/full body and carbonation, and a bit of warming in the finish.
Okay beer. Oak didn't add much for me. Also think this sample wasn't the freshest, so hops may have been more muted than in a fresh sample.

Copper and orange, full inch of white head. Aroma of bittering c hops and wood chips.
Hops seem to not be as strong with the competing wood flavors. Its good, nothing off, but the already caramel heavy malt bill and the wood give the beer a heavier than necessary mouthfeel overall. Bitter cuts through more than the alcohol.
