12oz bottle from Tipsy's Liquor World in west-side Denver.

This beer pours a clear, bright medium golden yellow hue, with two fingers of puffy, foamy, and somewhat bubbly off-white head, which leaves some random sudsy islet lace around the glass as it quickly dissolves.

It smells of crackery, biscuity pale malt, acrid lemon, dry hay, and herbal, grassy hops. The taste is more sharp, edgy, steely grainy pale malt, stale lemon rind, and complex earthy, leafy, grassy, and straw-like hops, which seem to grow in intensity as things warm up a bit.

The carbonation is tight and a tad fizzy, the body medium-light in weight, and as smooth as one can expect with all those hops milling about. It finishes rather dry, the straw and grassy hops predominating.

A none-too shabby go at the Czech Pilsener - they nailed the crispness, in malt and in hops - but the flavours seem too muddled and indistinct to have it run with the Bohemian greats - be they Old World or not.

I hold my pilsners to very high standards, and I don't like them too hoppy - this one was very hoppy, with an overly bitter finish that hurt it's drinkability. Still a decent pilsner

April 27th, 2015 - At the time of writing, pilsners have come back into the beer zeitgeist, but in 2015 they were much more difficult to find. But Great Divide has had the Nomad for some time - clear, and topped with a great foamy head, like froth in the rapids. The aroma is high and tangy, with the clarity of the style and a touch of corn syrup sweetness. The flavor is more dry and crisp with good carbonation and a touch of alcohol burn, and a long and slightly bitter aftertaste that reminds me of my favorite drink at the moment: Pellegrino.

Aroma is a bit skunk and malt. Flavor's slightly more sweet than bitter, wet grain, not all that great Finish is on the sweet side and not in a good way.

12 oz. Bottle
Bottled On: Oct 01, 2015

Pours a nice clean/clear golden yellow color, nice carbonation, with a nice small white head, which leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, slightly hoppy, lemony. The taste is pretty nice malty, hoppy, lemony. Medium body. Overall, a tasty brew.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a shiny pale gold color with a large white head. The aroma is mostly grass and nuts with some citrus. The taste is a yeasty biscuit flavor with some grass and spices. A good beer.
