.This place is right up the street from both Waldo Tap Room and 75th Street Brewery. While not in either of those 2's league, Tanner's has carved out its own little niche in Waldo. When you walk in you definitely get the sports bar kind of feel. Large, pull down projection TV's all over the place with flat panel TV's everywhere else you can look. This place is definitely no the place to go when looking to quietly enjoy a nice brew. The quality is decent. It's a sports bar at heart but it tries to fit in with the surrounding bars a bit. The service is always very good when I go in there. The waitresses are always very attentive and the food is brought pretty promptly. The selection is one of the better sports bar selections in the area. If your looking for something great, this isn't you place, but they have domestic specials pretty much every night that include Flying Monkey and Boulevard for about 2.50 a pint. That's a pretty sweet deal. The menu is pretty wide stretching for a sports bar. Every thing from a steak to Jalapeno poppers, and all the food I've had there has been pretty tasty. All in all it's a pretty reasonable place. They constantly have specials on drinks which makes it that much more reasonable

Although there are several Tanner's in KC, this is the best one for beer that I have seen. Certainly way ahead of the Downtown location in variety and quality.

Next to Waldo Pizza and just a few blocks from 75th Street Brewery you can park once and drink at all three!(ANd even hit Lew's, a Neighborhood Irish pub on the SE Corner of [email protected]).

The breweriana here adds to the beer atmosphere: Old Hamms lighted signs, Metz, Schlitz and Falstaff paraphenalia along with a lot of brewery mirrors. A nice bit of history.

"Draws" include: 3 BLVD, 2 New Belgium, Flying Monkey Amber, Sam Adams Lager and Guinness. (22 ounce Monkey's can be had for $2.75, same as macro taps. [ They also had AB's MO Mulekick Stout and Winter Cask beer.] Nothing of note in bottles.

Food menus listed Lent time fish specials. This is an old school, all ages neighborhood bar in the lively Waldo area.

You could even take a Max bus from here to downtown bars!

Young and attentive servers make this place comfortable.
