Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a half finger white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt and noble hops, a bit more European than North west. Flavor is light caramel malt, grassy hops with a light piney element, starts fairly balanced, but the finish has some astringency that is not supported by the hop flavors. A good, but somewhat unbalanced IPA in a crowded field. Flavor also seems more continental than Northwest in hop choice. I enjoyed this IPA, but nothing stands out to bring me back regularly.

Attractive orangey amber brew with a skimpy head. Not much aroma. Tangy and a little hot in the mouth.

Pleasantly sweet and warm. Fruity taste with the zingy acid note is interesting. Not overly bitter.

Drinkable and less bitter IPA. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

For a flagship beer, I worry about the ship going down.

One of the few cases I will take a light but nice aroma and give it a positive review that overtakes an also light ipa flavor that underwhelms. Color and clarity is nice, but I cant rank this overall positive with how pilsner-y with a slight hop bite beer any better than ive already given it credit for...
