Pours a pale gold with healthy carbonation and a dense white head that fizzes away, sinking slowly to leave a pleasant ring of lace. This is how I knew beer as a child: golden, fizzy and frothy. It really takes me back...

Nose is quite pleasant, floral and aromatic with hints of biscuity and caramelly malt, a large hit of rosewater and a slight tang like sherbet. A very weak suggestion of a phenolic aroma is too slight to make an impression. That lack of impression makes this nose a little too sweet, which is a shame because it's close to being excellent.

Taste is similarly sweet, with the same rosewater character and slightly tartaric edge. Malt is prominent and actually quite sticky on the mid-palate, makes this lager feel a bit heaver than usual. Hops are very floral but not really dominant, and the only significant hoppiness simply lingers on the back in a dank, earthy bitter king of way.

This beer is tragically close to supremacy. Its flavour is sweet, but not in a sickly adjunct way, and pleasant enough to make it unique among pale lagers, but it's slightly too sweet and doesn't leave cleanly enough to be a refreshing, enjoyable drop. A little more bitter hopping could make this a lager colossus, but at the moment it just doesn't really do it for me.

Clear straw colour with a smooth, foamy off-white head. Good head retention.

Light, soft malt aroma with some light herbal notes. Also a touch of citrus. Nice.

Crisp and clean malt with a moderate bitterness and mild earthy hop character. Nothing special but easy drinking.

Medium-light body with moderately-high carbonation. Good.

A nice, crisp lager which is perfect for summer drinking.

330 ml bottle poured into oversized wine glass

A: pours a slightly hazy gold with small white head and active carbonation bubbling up from the bottom of the glass

S: Raw grain sweetness and faint spicy/noble hop aroma.

T: Taste hits mid palate with bread like grain. bitterness around the edges and a dry biscuity finish.

M: really nice mouthfeel. medium to light body with crisp carbonation.

D: this beer exists essentially as a bridge beer for the macro drinker curious in craft beer but perhaps not ready for flavor that is too big and not ready to fork over too much money per brew. when compared to the euro lagers with which it is meant to compete, it blows them out of the water.

A - Pours a fairly clear dark golden colour with a 2cm white head that falls away quite quickly leaving a touch of lace.
S - Grassy and slightly floral hop notes with a vauge pale malt character and some cooked vegie notes.
T - Slightly sweet grainy, malt notes backed with grassy and floral hops.
M - Light side of medium bodied with quite a high carbonation level. Quite refreshing.
D - Not terrible but certainly nothing noteworthy. Would drink again but nothing to get excited about.
