While in Beijing, this is the equivalent of the regular beer that you always drink, like the Beast. I grabbed it because I had already tried all the bottles at the local grocery. It pours to a golden yellow, light head. Not much aroma. It is fairly light with a slightly sweet character. Smooth to drink with a decent amount of malty and hop flavor. There are some barley notes in the background. I got it off a store shelf. Was really quite decent.

Ah, the flagship of this fine brewing group, Blue Sword is pretty comparable to Milwaukee’s Best Light Ice, if the beast light ice were made out of decomposing corpses, sulfur, and rancid corn that had been consumed a donkey and then shat out. It pours from a large green bottle with a snazzy modern label into a hotel room wine glass a pale piss yellow color. Aroma of fermented corn, pea soup, and iron. Tastes like water with a little corn syrup added and perhaps a touch of urine from someone who had been eating asparagus. There are some hops in the finish but not much and they are very vegetable like, quite odd. Light bodied but harsh and offensive. Undrinkable.
