Very quiet pub right on Tottenham Court road.

Usual trappings of an English pub: wood paneled walls, many handles of Real Ale (this is a Fuller's pub), actual wooden chairs (some with wobble!), a downstairs bathroom, guys in suits drinking three pints before heading back to work, and lots of smoking.

I could drink Fuller's London Pride all day, every day. And that's basically what I did while in London. This place had Chiswick as well, which, I noticed, not all Fuller's pubs had. It also had the ESB, the blonde, and the porter (though the porter was bottled). And some macro stuff, both bottled and kegged. Every London pub has Guinness, Stella, and Carlsburg, it seems.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the specialty of this place is pie. The menu has about a dozen or so different varieties. The steak and ale pie was terrific, but the best meal I had here was bangers and mash. Just awesome.

I went to London expecting the worst as far as cuisine was concerned. Many, many people I know complained about the prevalence of boiled, bland food. Which was hogwash, and this place is a good data point in the counterargument. Fantastic pies, fantastic pub fare, and great (for London) prices. Easy to get to, easy to stay at. I'll miss this place for a long time.

Central London Fullers House on the edge of the theatre zone/entertainment area

As such the clientele tends to be tourists, weekend show goers and general passer bys, no local feel to it

Quite a dark bar with little natural light also

Reasonable Fullers range with Pride , Chiswick and ESB on cask, plus a seasonal which was Jack Frost

Beer in good condition

Didn't eat but the food looked reasonable when eyeing up others !

Not really one to go out of the way for, but at least you'll get a decent enough pint of cask ale !
