I was a bit concerned as I approached since there was a sign that read, "Grand Re-Opening". Danger, Will Robinson! Warning!! Warning!! Sure enough, the bartender informed me that as of Monday, 13 July 2007, that all of the brewing equipment had been sold off and was merely awaiting transport. The IPA was still available at $1.00 a glass, which I took to be Happy Hour prices until I tasted it. It was stale and they were selling it to try and recoup some of their loss. What a bummer!

An update has been submitted.

What a weird place. It is mostly a pool hall that serves a lot of Budweiser et al with a few of their own beers available. Their beers are o.k. but not outstanding, probably because this place does not attract the beer geek crowd so I am sure he is making beers that the people who go there will drink. It is a pretty good value and an ok place to hang out if you want to play pool. They have some serious bar competition from next door so the prices are more than fair including a bloddy mary bar on Sundays. I know it isn't beer related but it is one of the best things about Copper Canyon.

***UPDATE*** No longer a brewery. They sold the brewing equipment and it is now just a bar.

This has more of a generic feel to it than I was expecting. The Brewhouse is practically hidden behind the high glass walls behind the bar because of all of the macro-lager paraphernalia hanging on it. This place is located in a nondescript strip mall as well. There is a bar area and lots of sit down table seating with a pool table. everything is in one wide open area. There are a couple of TVs sprinkled throughout the area. There is smoking allowed here, so watch out if you don't like this. The beer here is well made, i.e. there are no flaws or off flavors, but it is make for people who have just graduated from the BMCs of the world. All of the beers here are quite subtle with hints of the beery components (hops, malt and yeast). This does not have too bad of an atmosphere but the beer needs a serious flavor shift before I would go out of my way to try it again.

The service is pretty good, and the food looks to be the standard pub fare with some local flare to it, though the pretzel I ordered was a bit burnt and the cheese sauce was bland. I must admit this is the first time I have been to a Brewpub who's beers are so devoid of character, at least I picked up an empty growler from here to fill up someplace else.

This is a simple bar/brewpub in a strip mall. I was on a business trip in Chandler when I decided to check it out. They had about six of their own beers on draught, along w/ the usual BMC suspects.

Entering Copper Canyon, it's a basic concrete floor w/ wooden tables & a bar. IMO, it makes a good neighborhood hangout. The food was pub grub; the beer was OK, but not anything special (although the Red on nitro wasn't too bad) and the folks were friendly.

Copper Canyon is a casual bar with a sports bar atmosphere. It's a very friendly place to have a brew. They typically have about a half dozen of their house brews available on tap. The house beers are all ales ranging from a light blonde style to their full-flavored IPA and Porter.
All of their beers are tasty, but I enjoy the full-bodied porter with it's smoky-malt flavor best.

I like to stop by Copper Canyon for a quick beer or two when I'm out running errands. The bartenders are always friendly and they've got TVs tuned to every sports channel there is. The food is standard pub fare with burgers, wings and that sort of thing. Overall it's a great neighborhood brewpub and a real asset to the area.
