A delicate blend of dark and bitter chocolates infused into a classic Porter. This beer has been in development for over 3 years until the brewers hit perfection.

12 oz can and on tap.
This is an interesting beer, for sure. It has a super enormous malted chocolate smell and taste. This is like Shake on steroids. By no means should you skip out on tasting this, you'll love it or hate it. So my 50/50 overall.
If they made it 9% and gave it more body to match, I think this could be epic. However, Young's Double Chocolate beats this by a mile because this currently lacks refinement. It's just super gutsy.

Got in a trade with AZBeerDude72. 12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 9/29/2019. Pours very dark ruby reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. A bit too fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, chocolate, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery, roasted bitterness; and yeast tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, brown bread/crust, coffee, dark fruit, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, chocolate, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a nice roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is good. A bit too thin, but not watery. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is a nice flavored English porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, chocolate, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Well balanced English malts and chocolate flavors; solid earthy hops and fruity yeast presence. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A nicely enjoyable offering, and well made style example. Just a bit too yeasty overall.

One of the richest "chocolate" stouts I've ever tried. The chocolate isn't subtle in the least bit.

12 oz. can - Sell by 03/14/2019 stamped on the bottom.
Pours black with a creamy tan head. Looks like espresso. Lacing sticks.
The smell is of chocolate/cocoa. Slight earthy touch. Slight roast. Robust.
On the palate, cocoa powder dominates. Cocoa powder lingers.
The chocolate in the taste and feel (it even has a powdery texture) is more like cocoa powder than chocolate. It's decent, but seems one-dimensional cocoa powder after a bit.

Can from the Whole Foods in Sedona.
A very dark brown with a thin beige head that falls off rapidly leaving little lacing, this looks decent. The nose is sweetened chocolate syrup with milk chocolate and sugar along with a mild roast note. The chocolate character is mildly fake. On the palate, this is sweet but thin with fake chocolate along with a mild roast, a little coffee. The mid-palate is fatty and rancid, and the mouthfeel is thin and limpid. Sweet on the finish, this beer is rather terrible.

Smooth, sweet, chocolaty--really good! Perfect dessert beer. I would love to set one of these in front of someone who says, "I don't like beer." There's nothing not to like here--as long as you like chocolate!

Pours dark brown with little to no head. Aromas of chocolat, malt, sugar, and a touch of coffee. Tastes of chocolate right from tge start. Can almost be described in the vain of choc chip cookies. Light hop bitterness with a medium semi sweet finish.
