Pours a very light yellow, appears very watered down. Quickly rising and then falling white fizzy head. Very active carbonation. The smell is bubblegum, predominately malty, and a little bready yeast. The taste has a stronge tinge to it. It appears to be a plastic/styrofoam/ceramic taste. Not sure where that's coming from. The rest of the taste is a bit citrusy with mild hops and a seltzer aftertaste. The mouthfeel is also a lot like carbonated water with a dirty C02 flavor. This beer isn't good at all...

Drinkable, but in no way interesting. Aha! cold filtered, like Carlton Cold, that explains the similarities! This however has more of a European taste and less of that Aussie chemical, aluminium taste, pretty boring though, very light, lightly crisp.

Can:A mostly diminishing medium sized white creamy head that consisted of fine-small bubbles. The body was clear with slowly rising carbonation and the hue was light yellow. The nose was malty and hoppy and the flavor was hoppy with an aftertaste. The mouthfeel was somewhat tingly, smooth and medium bodied. There was fair lacing with this beer. This beer definitely lacks character.

Jeez, what a *particular* brew this is...

Expecting the sort of properties of any mediocre lager, once poured with its light straw appearance, slightly overwhelmed by some excess carbonation and no apparent (and should I say apparent) smell, I found myself shocked once drawing it nearer to the mouth.

An irreversably strong, cunning metallic smell took over and at times even became a bit too strong to tolerate, as the session kept on going and still had a 50cl bottle to go. The taste, very, very acidic in concordance with the smell, would be that of an extra-strength heineken if you ask me. and overcarbonated. certainly not the most pleasant of experiences for me, the cypriots. onto thrylos (other KEO product) now.

Appearance: Into a KEO glass, pours possibly the lightest color brew I've ever seen. Pale gold? Straw yellow?'s even lighter than that. And crystal clear. The impressive head and lace are the only saving graces here, as they prevent the Appearance score from falling into the 1 range.

Smell: Faint aroma of corn, fresh hay, a touch of a floral scent, and the slightest hint of grain.

Taste: To be honest, there's not much there. A touch of sweet corn syrup and a faint grainy flavor is all I'm picking up...

Mouthfeel: Well...let's just say it compares favorably to some of the better bottled waters I've tried. Thin, watery, dry, and crisp...

Drinkability: Bad...really bad. While some would argue that this could make a good 'lawnmower beer,' I would prefer a tall glass of cold water first. Reminds me too much of the flavorless American macros we have to tolerate here...

A 'thank you' goes to Ipogios for sending this brew and it's proper glass.

Pale yellow, no head, no lace, precious few bubbles. Rather boring to look at.

Keo's smell is of mild hops underlaid with just a suggestion of malt. Sharp – almost spicy – and hop-bitter on the palate. No remarkable flavours, quite watery. Dull and inoffensive.

A giant 630ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2012. Damn this is a heavy bottle!

Poured into a tulip pint glass. A clear pale honey colour with good carbonation. Forms a nice head of fluffy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a surface layer. Aroma of faint malt with a strong hint of overcooked veg and a whiff of stewed hops. Deeply unpleasant; it only deteriorates as it warms.

Tastes of weak, watery malt and adjuncts, followed by an astringent, almost herbal bitterness. Notes of overcooked veg, corn and stewed leaves. A faint hint of 'hot' solvent in the background. Mouthfeel is light and prickly - pretty standard. Somewhat astringent. Aftertaste of stewed leaves and veg.

Disgusting. I don't often slam beers, but this is just vile (and it's well within date). Watery and characterless, with a ton of unpleasant flavours. The label mentions maize - I reckon they should cut back on the adjuncts. Even if I were in Cyprus at the height of summer and dying of thirst, I don't think this would be welcome. Avoid.

Got a bottle of this last week at Surdyk's in Twin Cities, Minnesota. Poured with a big white frothy head that quickly settled down and no lace. Color is pale yellow. Aroma was American Adjucnt Lager - that is simple "beery". Flavor is the same but fairly sweet. Not much going on. Think I'd be in for a hangover after a few too many of these. Body is watery and carbonation is spritzy. Finish is a little corn sweet. Totally forgettable.

Another of 13 beers from this month's Michiana Coalition of the Drinking. When this was poured i thought they'd put the wrong drink in the can. it looks like sparking apple juice. not good. Huge (4-5 inch) white head. Smells like miller lite and cat pee. Watery, metallic taste. some hops. finish is like watery malt liquor. no body at all. watery, boring, bland, kind of gross beer. no thanks.

Pours a three finger white head that fades slowly to a ring leaving a good lace. Crystal clear pale yellow/amber color. Light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Faint floral/hoppy nose. Starts almost sweet but hops dominate, boring, finish is dry and slightly bitter. Brewed Aug 12, 2005. $1.79 for a 330ml bottle from Lina's Beverages Painesville, OH.

The label say this beer was bottled fesh, I sure hope they bottle their beer fresh. Yet another meaningless statement of quality on a beer bottle.

It pours a sickly pale straw, extremely pale. A moderate head leaves almost no lace. The aroma is light malt, spicey hops and cooked vegetables. The taste is unpleasant. Very sweet with bitter astrigency around the edges. Theres also a vegetable components, almost like rotten corn. The finish is mineral and watery with a slight sourness. If the bitterness in this beer comes from hops, its like no hops Ive tried before. The mouthfeel is thick and disturbing with eratic carbonation.

This is a watery slightly funky lager. Thankfully the flavor isnt fuller because that astrigency would make this undrinkable. Not recommend.

Clear gold body with a white head that reminded me of dishwashing suds. The head disappeared instantly. Insignificant lacing from the few bubbles left after the head disappeared. The nose is small and barely gives off some hop and malt sense. Poor taste that seems like a lesser American macro, though there is a slight hint of citrus, mostly lemon. Body is watery and thin. Mouthfeel is OK with a bit of crispness in the finish. Seems like there are adjuncts prevalent in this beer. Not recommended.

Not terrible to taste, thin mouthfeel, better than many national brands, Easy drink, just very bland. Cheesy smell, big white head. Could not finish, but would in a very hot day with food to offset astringency in the mouth.Floral citrus somewhat malty aftertaste.

Haystack yellow beneath one of the better looking heads that you'll see on a 'world lager'. The pour netted three fingers of vanilla milkshake colored creaminess that is beginning to leave loads of sticky lace all over the glass. KEO looks the part of good beer.

The nose, unfortunately, is business as usual. In other words, each sniff delivers a blast of husky grain and noble hops that have seen fresher days. One never knows how European beer has been handled, but this one hasn't yet reached its 'best by' date. For whatever that's worth.

KEO Beer is nothing special. It does nothing whatsoever to distinguish itself from hundreds (let's make that thousands) of Euro pale lagers. Not that there's much difference, but why isn't this beer classified as an EPL?.

The flavor profile consists of untoasted grain and grassy-musky hops, the whole tied up with a tattered ribbon of ho-humness. If you've tasted one of these things, you've tasted them all. A hoppy bite... or a hint of citrus zest... or anything the least bit interesting would have been nice. I'm too bored to delve any deeper into this immensely shallow lager.

Given the style, the mouthfeel is acceptable (barely). The beer is incredibly light and is barely carbonated, but since that helps the objectionable flavor from sticking around too long, I'm all for it.

The only thing even remotely interesting about KEO Beer is that it's brewed on the island of Cyprus. One more thing: it's further proof in support of my theory that only the world's worst breweries put the words 'Premium Beer' on their labels.

Pours two fingers of head on a clear light straw body.
The aroma is corn and cotton candy.
The taste is a sickly sweetness throughout.
The texture is crisp.
It's pretty horrible, even for a euro pale lager.

12 oz bottle. Pours a pale, sickly yellow. There's a thin white head that dissipates rapidly. The smell consists adjuncts, grain, and maybe a faint hint of lemon.

The taste is sweet, semi-sour grain, maybe a suggestion of hops, and little else. The mouth is light, watery and unsatisfying, with a cloying and annoying sweetness on the end, which is really unpleasant considering there isn't much flavor preceding it. It's drinkable, but I could only see myself drinking it while eating Greek or some other similar style of cuisine.

Once poured this beer was a very light, clear gold color. There was a creamy head that didn't last too long. There was also just a tiny bit of lace. The aroma was a meek one. It just had traces of hops and grainy malt. The taste was a little metallic and herbal with a little hop bite. Overall this was a light bodied beer that had a bit more substance to it than its appearance led one to expect. No doubt a decent hot weather beer.

Light coloured with a clear body and a yellow straw colour. It is topped with a bubbly white head about the width of a thumb which reduces to about half.

Sweet smelling beer with an almost syrup like aroma to it along with some light citrus notes and a sort of lemon zest smell. There was minimal floral hops but the main aroma was the almost overpowering sweetness.

Very sweet and sugary with the same lemon zest that I mentioned in the aroma. There isn't a lot else going on really with the exception of a fizzy tang and some mild grassy hops.

Thin with a smooth and sweet feel to it. It was almost water thin and had a very mild, bittersweet finish to it. Carbonation was also mild.

Another poor pale lager to add to my seemingly endless list of them. It was drinkable although very sweet and I'd probably be less than impressed if I was handed one of these again. Not a good beer at all.

After Ipogios' storming of BA, I was rather surprised when I walked into my local LCBO and saw KEO. I thought "I must try this Cypriot beer that I've heard so much about". So I tried it.

Disgustingly pale gold. I'm not sure I've ever seen beer this pale (although I've never drunk American macros...). The head is white and raises to nearly 2 centimetres in my pilsner glass. It drops down quickly, but a covering layer remains to the end with ample lacing. Points lost for the colour, points gained for the head.

Taste. Hops: there, but almost under the radar. I tasted a fair bit of corn (I think). Nothing special.

That's about it. No better and no worse than any other mass-produced euro-lager.

Pours a clear golden color and a medium white head that settles down rather quickly.
The aroma is pleasantly sweet, malty with some grains.
The taste is therefore sweet at first, followed by slightly watery body, finishing with nice bitterness.
Nothing special, but another of those beach beers that will definitely quench your thirst.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow lager with a medium foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma consists of medium sweet malt with some very subtle dry hops. Taste is also quite bland with some lightly sweet malt but no easily discernable adjunct at least. No major flaws were found in this beer but enjoyment was also minimal.

Tastes like a basic beer, fats taste and easy to drink. No aftertaste nor great flavours.
Maultaan perusolut, nopeamakuinen, helppo juotava. Ei juurikaan jälkimakua, ei merkittävää aromikkuutta.

almost a clear golden color, the flavor is cerial grains and nothing else, verry light taste, almost watery, way to much carbonation, a compleat strike out in all catogorys. run away from this one it SUCKES, i dont think that even hops could save this one.

Another surprise from my local trader, Tone77, who dropped off a nice selection of beers from hither and yon for me recently.

My pour produced two fingers of French Vanilla-colored head with low retention. Color was a pale lemon-yellow with NE-plus quality clarity, allowing me to see into the future. It was not promising. Nose had a honey-like lager sweetness and I began to wonder about the presence of adjuncts. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium with more of that honey taste on the tongue, along with an unpleasant astringency. Oof. Finish left a kind of medicinal taste in my mouth. I would like to revisit this from a CAN, but one bottle was plenty.
