A-Pours a brownish orange color. Hazy. Barely any head. Not a ton of lacing either. It pours like it has some body to it.

S-Aroma is really neat. It's very, very pleated. Also some serious funkiness hanging around in there as well. A sweet lining holds the peat and Brett together. The Brett gives off a nice herbal/medicinal/eucalyptus aroma.

T-Definitely some cured meat. Bonfire. A ton of peat. Funky, musty and somewhat sour as well. The Brett is heavy and pretty tasty to boot. I'm really surprised by how well the Brett/peat combo works together. A nice woody oakiness lingers as well.

M-A bit prickly with nice body. Almost tannic. The flavor (especially the smoked, salted meat component) really hangs around for a while.

O/D-Really cool. Wasn't expecting to enjoy this beer. It was a hit with me. Wild, sour, funky, meaty and peaty. Some how it works!

maybe the weirdest beer i have had in 2015, truly an oddity. its very pale in color, unexpectedly so, clearly none of the scottish ale type darker and redder malts, this is a hazy blonde beer with a very fizzy white head. it smells like lemon lime gatorade, no joke, an astute observation by thebrewo as we shared this bottle, but i have to agree 100%, its literally yellow gatorade. there is a funky smoke to it as well though, honey baked ham comes to mind, with the meaty aspect coming from the smoke, and the barrel obviously having a big impact on this one. the taste is just like the nose, with both gatorade and baked ham being obvious flavors in this. that sounds kind of gross, but its actually incredible. the barrel aged portion is a big contributor, smokey and peaty as they come, but its so cool to have it be in a beer thats not malt heavy, and for it to be a sour nonetheless, insane! the sourness is major, its puckery, but also woody like a campfire being lit. cant say if this is one of my favorites or not, but it is literally a work of art, not to be missed for the curious palate. ducato has been up and down, but this is as interesting as beer gets these days, and its a big hit for me. dry as they come, and carbonated as effervescently as you could imagine, its named perfectly, and i will never forget the experience. not often i can say that these days...

I can't go into detail on terminology, but I can say that I'm hunting for this beer wherever I can find it because it's the most unique and delicious beer I've ever tasted. It's loaded with smokey flavor, meat, and yet it ends refreshing. I highly recommend this and I have to say, it's my favorite beer.
