Bottle: Poured a dark black color stout with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of roasted malt with light dry bitter notes. Taste is dominated by roasted malt with some dry bitter malt notes with dry coffee notes and light black chocolates. Body is about average for style with a bit too strong carbonation for the style. OK but not something I would seek to try again.

0.75 cl Bottle: shared at the 2014 Pre Brugge beer exchanged organised by Filip of the Belgian Beer Board website. Thank you whoever brought this beauty to the table.
Black body with a good tanned crown on top.
Malty with coffee and dark chocolate notes in the aroma, these carried on into the taste also.
This is a good solid Stout, hints of liquorice came and went with dark chocolate being the dominant flavour in my opinion.
I am warming to Italian beers, my visit to Rome in Dec 2013 helped and the beers I tried during this bottle swap were all interesting and of a good quality.

330ml bottle. Tumbler glass. Enjoyed on jan´12. Dark mahogany in color, ruby hues to the light. Intense oat grain aroma, hints of toffee & coffee. Toasted malt gentle flavor. Smooth silky palate. Slightly bitterness in the middle lingers to the finish. Full body, moderate carbonation. Chocolate notes on the aftertaste. Pleasant & drinkable.
