On tap at Hollister 2/5/10

Pours golden brown, plenty clear, nice head and some lace but the head disappers quickly.

Aroma is dry and malty and very altbier-like.

Flavor is between a restrained altbier and a crappy steam beer complete with a (slight) hint of butter and a certain funkiness.

Body is light as it should be and if it weren't for the crappiness of the beer it would be a good hot weather beer or possibly something to compliment delicate European food flavors.

Not sure what they are trying to pull here but I get the impression that they are confusing styles. From my notes: "some decent German Alt taste but more shitty Steam beer taste".
