a: hazy caramel color that has some darker, burnt orange notes towards the top of the glass, and is a little lighter on the bottom. real nice, 2 finger solid slightly off-white head that looks like it could hold a coin

s: punched in the nose with super juicy tropical fruits. pineapple, mango, apricot, and sweet citrus. there is a crackery aroma in here as well, along with some sweet caramel which provides the malt backbone. extremely juicy smelling - it makes your mouth water

t: pineapple and that sweet citrus right away, followed by a significant blast of grapefruit bitterness. there is a touch of the sweet malt behind that combined with a dry crackery flavor that works to neutralize the bitterness and balance out the mouth. a little less juicy than i would have guessed from the aroma, which just may be some of the hops fading with age, i don't know bottle date. even so, the flavor on this is really smooth, and extremely refreshing.

m: medium mouthfeel, with a perfect carbonation level. plus, the head sticks around for a while which is nice

o: really enjoy this beer! its packing a lot into 5%, and manages to stay balanced and flavorful without turning into 'hop water.' really enjoyable to drink, and probably now one of my favorite low ABV IPAs

From Labirratorium. In Teku glass. Watching Captain America First Avenger. Tropical fruits, with some citrus bitterness, subtle orange touch and a very big body for the style, similar to a DIPA. Invites to long sips. Avg 4.28.

10 Nov 2017. From Bierkraft. In Teku glass. Watching Stranger Things 2x07-08. With pok cheese. Very bitter with plenty of orange peel. So much that it might be a bit excessive. But good enough still. Not watery at all for a session IPA

Aroma is citrus/orange, piney hops and light fruit. The flavor is citrus/orange, grapefruit, fruit, slight earthiness/funk from the sediment, thick for the style body and a bitter finish.

400ml on-tap at Himmeriget, Copenhagen (45 Danish Krone):
This one was a very enjoyable beer, even more so for a session IPA though as it didn't seem to compromise on flavour & there was plenty of bitterness showing throughout. Despite not being overly complex, the beer was fresh & came with a nice mix of tropical fruits & citrus as well as some faint sweetness around the middle for the caramel malts. It was an easy beer to drink & one that I'd happily go for again; excellent stuff.

Big citrus notes of orange juice, zest. There's a touch of sweetness to counter the pithy character.

Flavor reveals underpinnings of tropical fruit, along with a banana note at the bitter, resiny finish. A little too bitter for my palate.

Where the Citra hop takes off, then copious amounts of orange character takes over. As Florida's premiere brewery teams up with equally competent Amager Brewery, the taste of the sunshine state reigns supreme with hops and fruit.

Underneath the zesty aroma of fruit punch with a serious citrus lean, the beer's bright honey amber hues are suggestive of an orange tint even to the eye. Its froth crown also expels herbal, tropical and a sprucy scent to accompany the bold orange perfume. Honey and graham cracker layer on the front of the tongue with a sweet caramelized taste.

While malt sweetness dissolves on the palate, the hops grow to match that of orange additions, with its own tantalizing flavor of tangerine, blood orange, mango, apricot and its slight marmalade counterpart. While the dimension that orange additions is simplistic and straight forward, they largely mask the more finesse elements of the famed Citra hops. Finishing pleasantly botanical with the strong bitterness of pine, fresh-cut grass and sassafras leaf, it bitter tea flavor dominates the taste to close.

Medium-bodied, the hop-forward flavor trails with the acute bitterness of citrus peels with the associated astringency of hops, herbal tea-leaf and lemon verbena. Stemmy and grassy, the beer's herbal finish is laced with orange oils and pine resins with wafts of orange blossom rolling on in aftertaste.

Poured into a pint glass. Excited to try a collab between these 2 breweries.
A - Wow, this is the haziest IPA I've ever had! Pours a pumpkin orange with a small white head.
S - The aroma is all citrus.
T - The orange notes hit up front, and again on the finish. Bready and malty in the middle. Not really bitter at all.
M - Thicker than most IPA's, has the mouth feel of a DIPA. Medium carbonation.
O - A very good beer. I noticed this beer was missing "something" that would propel it into a higher rating. But there are so many great beers in this category, I don't think I would seek it out.

A: poured into an IPA glass to a light gold topped by a three finger dense white head that retains well and leaves some lacing
S: Smells of orangey and citrusy hops with a little caramel sweetness and some grapefruit
T: Taste is oily citrusy hops with some orange and grapefruit. There is some slight toasted caramel malt sweetness to balance things out a little. Swallow is resinous pine and grapefruit pith with a little orange
M: Medium in body with soft but slightly prickly carbonation and an oily hop finish
O: This is a good IPA with great flavors and some decent complexity. Definitely hits the marks and the citrus notes are great.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pt .9 oz bottle on December 27, 2015. Look is cloudy amber with a dense off-white head and sticky lacing. Smell is citrus, tropical, pine, herb and bread malt aromas. Taste is bitter citrus fruit, orange, pine resin, herb toasted bread and light caramel malt flavors. Feel is light in body, initially crisp but smooth in the finish.

500 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops, orange peel, and light-moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Large amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, passion fruit, lemon/orange rind, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops, orange peel, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. High amount of dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and sticky/resinous mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is an excellent session IPA. All around great balance, robustness, and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/piney hops, orange peel, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Extremely bitter like a sour orange. The use of orange Peels seems to work here if you like bitter IPAs. The smell is classic Cigar City. Not bad at all

Aroma here is great- hops, caramel malt, fruit; very fragrant. Flavor's very good at first too and similar to nose. But the bitter comes on strong and quite long in the finish. Great body. If it wasn't for the heavy bitterness in the very long finish, it'd be a lot better.

Poured a hazy orange color with an off white head that laced the glass all the way down. Floral hop smell at first with a citrus smell sneaking in the background. Definitely more of a citrus flavor from the hops and a very good mouthfeel. Great collaboration! I'll be trying to find another bottle.

Pours a translucent orange with a minimal white head that dissipates quickly. Smells like sweet citrusy hops and a nice malt backbone. And it tastes much the same. I was afraid that from traveling from so far away that the hops may have faded but they are still going strong. Pleasantly surprised.

Pours hazy amber with a fading head.
Nose shows citrus, grapefruit, spicy hops and clean malt.
Flavours include more orange peel, grapefruit, hefty bitterness. Very clean.

Bottle: Poured a hazy bright orangey color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops with light bitter notes is quiet pleasant. Taste is also dominated by citrusy notes with some flora notes offset by some of the bitterness that is noticeable. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Enjoyable even though the Citra hops did not come out as much as I would have hoped.

Pours a hazy copper color with some sediment (weird for a session IPA?), 1-2 fingers of off-white head with decent retention and lacing. There is a big orange nose living up to its name, but on the palate, the hops are mostly bittering hops and lacks a bit of complexity. It also drinks a bit thin. A decent session IPA with a really nice nose.

The colour is deep amber (20 EBC), the liquid got some very small particles floating around. The two finger head is airy and compact, leaving some lacing while sinking down.

The smell is bitter with tart notes of lemon/lime and bitter herbs. Hints of yeast and dough, sweet orange peels and cedar wood.

The taste is very bitter and a bit harsh. Bitter herbs, green bananas and hay. Some citric flavours. Medium body. The aftertaste is harsh and quite bitter with orange inner peels, fresh bitter herbs and a touch of rubber. The finish is quite short and bitter.

The carbonation is medium strong, the small bubbles short-lived. The liquid is harsh and dry.

No, I didn’t “get” this beer: It is overly bitter and harsh.
