With two of the newest and highly acclaimed brewers on the planet, it's only fitting to find the Prairie brewers and Amager brewers team up for flavorful farmhouse ale that has roots in Belgium but also a modernized American twist.

Tulsa Twister pours a turbulent and expressive pour. Acting as much like champagne as of ale, its golden straw body breams with carbonation, building a fluffy tower of foam and longevity. Peppery, fruity, grainy and lightly earthen to the nose, the initial taste is dryly malty to cast aspirations of wafer crackers and light bread with a subtle pep of floral honey.

The ale dries to near completion rather quickly, leaving the middle palate open to the abundance of dried citrus- grapefruit, lemon, lime and orange; dehydrated tropical fruit- kiwi, pineapple, apricot and mango; and tangy cidery character. Its balance of fresh-cracked peppercorn couples with curry, cumin and a firm grassy hop bite eventually eclipses the fruit and assists in a spicy and dry finish.

Light in body, the beer's militant carbonation accents the pepper and straw-like hops well, amplifying them while also giving the ale a slightly metalic character and a plaster-like closure. Gentle wafts of burlap and wine must roll across the retro-olfactory senses in aftertaste.

A beautiful pour, straw color with a big white head with great retention and some lacing. The nose is grapefruit, some floral hop notes and some belgian yeast. On the palate, it's dryier than expected: grapefruit, herbal notes, some nice citrus, trat and a bit funky. Smooth, round and lively. Overall, a nice saison.

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, spice, chalk, black pepper, citrus peel, floral, funk, and Brett aromas. Taste is much the same with tropical fruit, black pepper, floral, spice, funk, and Brett flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice use of Brett to bring out unique aromas and flavors along with the more traditional saison ones.

Lightly hazed light blonde colour, 2 fingers of white head and lots of lace. Smell is a mix of citrus and funk, brett, lemon, lightly spicy as well, bit of white pepper, quite nice. Taste is dry and funky, bretty/musty flavours, pear, lemony and spice, drying funky aftertaste. High carbonation, medium body, dry. Of the 3 bottles of this beer I have had this one was the best, the first I had in June and was not a fan of the next in August was pretty good and this one was solid, so it would appear that this gets better with a few months, worth a try if you come across it, by far the best saison I have had from this brewery.

A: poured into a tulip to a hazed and bright yellow topped by a dense and rogky three finger head that retains well and leaves good lacing.
S: Smells a little fruity and spicy from the yeast with some light lemony notes and a light pale malt backbone.
T: Taste starts off with some spicy yeast and lemony hops with some nice fruity esters and some dry cracker like malt. Swallow is more fruity esters and spice with a little bit of dry malt
M: Fairly light but not watery with adequate carbonation that's just slightly prickly and a drying finish.
O: Overall this is a fantastic saison with bright flavors that hits everything that it's supposed to. If you like Saisons and see this you need to give it a try.

Like a few other folks here, I bought this bottle from the LCBO. Standard 500ml bottle with a label design that doesn't do anything for me. Smells just a little bit funky, but nothing too wild. Generally smooth not very carbonated mouthfeel. The flavour is more toward the Belgian Ale on the spectrum of Trappist to Farmhouse Funk, however not excessively so. I get a strong feeling of apricots, and not much else. I would say overall it's a little bland, but that may be a good thing, considering this is a 8.8% ABV beer that definitely doesn't taste like one.

Very light and clean tasting with the flavor of a clear fruit juice. Would never know this is 7.5% abv.

L - Pours a hazy straw colored body with a frothy two finger eggshell head. Minimal lacing or retention.

S - Grainy, grassy, orange peel, citrus aromas and some mild funk.

T - The taste is about the same. Citrus hops develop into a floral element of the taste. Black pepper, wheat grains and grassy.

F - Light bodied and high carbonation. Crisp & dry finish.

O - Great collaboration. Traditional saison qualities with some imagination thrown in to liven it up.

this beer is the bomb, a nice wheaty saison, almost like a grisette base, fluffy and grainy, but strong instead of weak, and delicate though too. bretty right from the first whiff, its definitely got some funk to it, but there is also a belgian yeast element at work in the foreground. plenty of hops too, which puts this in line with my favorite style these days, the hoppy wild ale. hops are fruity, peach and grape come to mind, and its super juicy in the finish, not as dry as others in its class. all the grain in the base is really nice, but its also still really pale, favoring yeast rather than malty flavors and letting the hops be more than just a flash. i think i expected this to be a little more sour, there is just the faintest acidity here, but its not really missing. i think its plenty funky, and all the hops at the end would be lost to a more lacto forward brew. if it wasnt so high in alcohol, i could basically drink this endlessly. great carbonation and finish. awesome collaboration between two of my favorites.
