A bitter, dank and uncompromisingly hoppy dipa. Has a little smoke to the malt, to go with biscuit, all of those moldy basement hops and some orange. No balance to be found here. Hop bomb, but not a great one. Smell is the star, where hops are fun, taste is too much. Only for the brave.

Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Consumed on 7/28/16. Poured from a 16.9 oz bottle into a Cigar City Brewing goblet.
A: Hazy orange-gold, with fairly low visible carbonation and a thin white head that fades almost instantly.
S: Citrus and resin hops. Biscuit malts that have a punch of sweetness but minimal caramel aspect. Some vegetal and herbal hops in the background.
T: Orange citrus, resin and bitter citrus pith. Cereal sweet malts. Some mild oxidation and/or aged hop flavor. Moderately bitter in the finish with citrus flavors and some ethanol sweetness.
M: Medium body, with relatively low carbonation sensation. Alcohol is noticeable but not terribly hot.
O: This tastes a bit old to me - though my local bottle shop just got it in two weeks ago. I can find no date on the bottle, so I guess that will remain unknown. Old school hop profile and an East Coast malt bill. Certainly not terrible but nothing I'll look for again.

Aroma is earthy/biscuit malts, citrus and spices. The flavor is citrus, English/biscuit malts, strong fruit, grapefruit/mild tropical fruit and a spicy/bitter/warming alcohol finish.

On draft at Lord Hobo in Boston.
Poured clear and amber.
Aroma was stale hops and caramel malt.
Flavor was more of the same. Oxidation and sweet tea leaf hops.
Either the brewery or Lord Hobo dropped the ball here, this beer tasted very old and stale. At least I hope this isn't what it was supposed to taste like. Mediocre American Barleywine territory.

650ml bottle poured into a SARA Cellar oversized wine glass.
A~ clear dark orange/copper with a fluffy head that disappears quickly and a little lacing.
S~ biscuity malt up front along with some burnt sugar. followed by candied oranges and slight grassy pine.
T~ not as malty here! thankfully more balanced than the nose would lead you to believe. more bitter hops mid pallet, nice and grassy. all followed by some white wine like tannins and a tiny bit of lemon of the finish.
M~ a little thick but very drinkable and nice carb of course!
O~ this was probably a little old at this point but still held up pretty well! definitely a little more bitter than most recent IPA's but i feel like thats what they were going for. worth a shot for sure but don't crazy looking for it unless you need HF/Grassroots ticks like me! haha

L-Pours clear golden with a 3/4 inch fluffy off white head. Large islands of lacing linger.
S-The nose is citrus up front with a piny finish. The combination blends seamlessly . Not the strongest nose out there, but that's ok.
T- The taste like the nose starts out with some citrus, but is quickly replaced with piny dankness. Bitterness is fairly mild, but does linger on the palate for a few seconds.
F-This is the best aspect of this beer for me. I've seen people talk about an beer being oily. This beer is all that. Call it oily. Call it smooth. It really is fantastic. The carbonation is light and the overall mouthfeel is pretty full.
O-A very well executed beer. I'd certainly rebuy. Not a juice bomb, but not overly bitter either. Really a nice blend of East and West coast DIPA styles.
