On-tap served in a stemmed glass at Mikkeller Bangkok. It is named as Modern IPA.
Hazy deep amber brown hue which is a bit darker compared to typical IPA with very thick and dense fluffy creamy head that stands with remarkable strength of retention before slowly subsiding to an everlasting bubble sheet atop and leaving numerous of lacing wave all along.
Fruity hop leads in the aroma with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruit, and some piney resin. There is generous malty goodness in a rich presence with its bread, toasted, vanilla, brown sugar, and caramel.
There is moderate hoppy fruitiness in the palate sensation with notes of grapefruit and tropical fruit as well as some grassiness and earthiness. Malt foundation is still upright with its bread, toasted, vanilla, nutty, light sweet, and caramel. Suggestion of alcohol pokes through somewhere in the middle while solid bitterness draws in at the finish and is quite lasting as the aftertaste.
The body is medium with some bold touch through the palate. Smooth mouthfeel from some lively carbonation to generate a wave of soft effervescence, finish is dry.
Pretty good IPA with no compromise in both hop and malt profile, they both are very intense and nicely provide the deliciousness throughout the taste buds.

When pouring the beer you get a hazy, yellow-orange color.
The foam is white and is very nicely presented.
The foam has medium small bubbles that leave traces in the glass.
Light to medium carbonic acid.
One is struck by a hop aroma, with a slight malty aroma.
Very forest and pine, but also fruity aromas, a little small exotic.
One finds little citrus aromas and some grapefruit.
The taste is a hop bomb marked bitterness.
Here are some pineapple, passionfruit some herbs and spices.
The taste is also slightly bitter notes of orange peel.
The beer is a bit floral, with some forest feeling.
A well thought out IPA, although hops plays a large role for

Clean flavours, lots of pine and resinous hops, some soft clean malt and an aggressive bitterness.

Bottled from the LCBO. A complex EPA (euro pale ale). A fine balance of hops and malts. Smooth and crisp taste- a perfect "spring ipa". The label on the bottle tells a story how the spent grain is used to feed a herd of cattle outside Copenhagen - the herd is so merry when they get the grains that they create a "stampede greater than any seen in Calgary in July." How great is that.

Bottle. Orange, little hazy with medium white head. Low lacing, medium lasting. The aroma is mainly piney, resin with quite noticable malty profile (biscuits, crackers). Taste is bitter orange peel, bitterness is medium, also some piney and floral flavours. Medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and hoppy. Overall solid IPA - not so bitter and well balanced. Quite good drinkable.

Pours like liquid gold into the glass while forming a nice two finger white head. Retention holds for a couple of minutes and lacing is persistent.
Very grassy and heavy on the citric fruits.
A nice mixture of citric fruit and bitterness. A bit of earthiness, grass and pine.
Quite carbonated with a medium body, drinks very smooth with a dry finish. Bitterness lingers on the palate.

A - Pours cloudy orange with good carbonation and a two finger off white head. Good rings of lace and a film of retention.
S - Nice grapefruit and orange with pineapple and sugary fruit syrup. Quite a nice aroma.
T - A bit of alcohol, lot's of juicy hops again with a sweeter note. Nice mixed bag of fruit flavours and some sugary notes with a decent but light malt base.
M - Decent bitterness, good carbonation and a medium body.
O/D - This is pretty tasty stuff. I could drink a few of these without issue. Not a beastly IPA, but a nice one to drink and goes down easier than expected.

500ml Bottle from the Ottawa LCBO for $7
Appearance - Gold colour with a large size white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some great lacing. The head lasted for around 4-5 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Hops, apricots, grapefruit, breads/grains
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste apricot, grapefruit, and malts. There is also hops and a grassy herbal flavour.
Overall - A solid beer. I've only had a few beers from this brewer but they've all been interesting. Price tag is a little high, but well worth it to try it once for sure. The best before of 2016 seems optimistic.

Batch 758, 500 ml bottle from the lcbo, poured chilled into a lagunitas jar, colour is a light brown gold. Clear with a slow carbonation, good white head and lacing.
S - light florals, lavender, aromatic lemon and tangerine aromas, with a hard to pin down spicy character. Lemon meringue pie.
T - taste has lemon, light nuttiness, ruby berry character, more apple and robust earthy herbal character comes through, quite full bodied character. Rosemary and then more herbal hops on the finish. The florals are really concentrated, it has a hint of sweetness, then transitions into a really herbal character.
M - light start, then a fuller malty body comes through, delicious refreshing character, moderate carbonation. Easy session IPA with a nice herbal bitterness to it. A grainy background with a lot of hops packed on top, but still balanced nicely.
Overall this was an impressive take on an IPA that focused on floral and herbal characters, delicious body, felt a bit thin at points but all round it was a very tasty IPA, I think you would have to be a bit of a hophead to really love this beer, and I found it really solid, a lot of the flavours were hard to describe and ran together, but as a beer to just enjoy for what it is, this is one I would recommend. Hopped up and tasty, well-crafted.

500 ml bottle purchased from LCBO. Awesome looking bottle and cool name. Plus I'm curious about a spring IPA. Served fairly cold into glassware.
Appearance- gorgeous slightly opaque orange and copper coloured beer is poured. Big white rocky head that's about two fingers and takes its time in receding. Tons of spidery lacing is left all around the glass.
Smell - very spring light live fresh tropical fruits and an earthy undertone as well. Tons of citrus.
Taste - bright and vibrant, quite a bit of fruit with some dank earthiness blended in there. Fairly bitter, but balanced nicely with sweetness, and makes you want to go back for more and more.
Mouthfeel - lively carbonation helps give it a velvety texture. Very smooth and medium bodied, but packs a lot of flavour. On the dry sides in terms of finishes.
Overall - definite understand what the brewer was going after in labelling this a spring IPA since it does suit the season well. To me quite similar to central city's red racer IPA, which happens to be one of my absolute favourites. It's not quite that good but definitely one of the best of the style I've had in a while.

Appearance: very hazy, dull orange, and there's a tinge of orange in the head, which dissipates after a couple minutes
Aroma: stunning exotic fruit - kiwi, mango, peach, even strawberry comes to mind; very juicy and sweet, but a spruce hop scent hovers in the background
Taste & Mouthfeel: the fruit aromas have only lightly carried over into the taste, switching prominence with the bitter spruce hop flavour that was only hinted at in the scent; it's a nice effect, with mild orange, mango and caramelized malt notes initially, quickly giving way to the burning hop bitterness that has great length; medium body and good carbonation with a dry finish, every sip leaves you wanting more
Overall: "spring IPA" is the right moniker, as this beer feels full of energy and acts as a good transition between winter and summer brews with it's higher abv and sprightly flavours; really well done
