Had on tap at brewpub.

Phenomenal brew. Like a milkshake. Much stronger coconut flavor than the standard version on this brew. Smooth chocolately mouth and swallow. Hides the alcohol well. I could drink this all day.

Really nicely done. Kudos! Going back for more. I wish they put this one in cans!

I admit it's been about 1 year since I had this brew in the Lahaina venue. From my notes, the Porter was awesome. Looked good, smelled good, tasted great, and good moth feel for a Porter. Can't wait to get back there in 2 weeks.

Had on tap. Pours opaque dark brown in color with minimal head. Taste is big coconut and light milk chocolate. Medium bodied and carbonation and sweet. Great dessert beer.

On tap at the Draught House in Austin.

The beer pours a dark brown to black color with a brown head. The aroma is very strong and is full of sweet, milk chocolate. I also get a little bit of coconut but the chocolate is what stands out. The flavor is more of the same. The chocolate overpowers all of the other flavors. Very sweet overall. The alcohol is well hidden. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice take on the regular Coconut Porter. Definitely one to try if you get a chance.

12oz chalice glass at Beer Revolution in downtown Edmonton - another draft-only offering from this island brewery.

This beer appears a clear, very dark brown colour (yes, bordering on black), with one finger of puffy, foamy, and eventually bubbly beige head, which leaves some undulating ice cliff lace around the glass as it slowly and surely bleeds away.

It smells of roasted copra meat, gritty milk chocolate, artisanal coffee beans, earthy black licorice, a red berry-forward dark fruitiness, and understated leafy, herbal, and gently perfumed floral hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy, roasted caramel malt, Zeller's choco-coconut wafers, a still rather heady berry and stone fruit character, cafe-au-lait, musty anise spice, and more plain leafy and sort of soused floral hoppiness.

The carbonation is mostly a ghost in the rain, what with its faint frothiness, the body a solid medium-heavy weight, and quite smooth, with a nice inherent creaminess. It finishes well off-dry, the lingering roasted cocoa, caramel, and coconut (the big C's, in this context) controlling the table.

A crazily well-made strong porter, with the addition of coconut just boosting the overall allure. Kind of decadent, in all the right ways, and something more appropriate for our cold weather climes, but hey, I suppose island life has it's strong brew needs as well, eh?

On tap at the source. Hands down the best coconut beer I've ever had. Nothing cloying or artificial about it. The coconut is pure toasted excellence without overpowering the base beer. Sweetness cut by near flawless roastiness in the finish, which makes this beer drinkable for being almost dessert in a glass. A near perfect beer for its name. I was very close to scoring this all 5's.

Pours an effervescent mahogany with 2 fingers of mocha colored head. Average head retention & lacing

S: Dark chocolate, coffee, toasted coconut, fades a touch as this warms

T: Follows the nose, a little vanilla & caramel, plus plenty of dryness from the coconut up front. More chcocolate, a touch of woody hops, a little booze, toasty coconut in spades as this warms. Finishes with a whisper of mocha, toasty coconut & dryness, just a little booze

MF: Pretty chewy, fairly firm carbonation

Much to like about this one. Coconut is restrained enough to allow the cocoa to shine as well. Glad I pulled the trigger on this one
