Kudos for the can!
A: Pours an opaque, dark brown color with a small amount of tan head that dissipates. Carbonation levels look good. A bit of lacing as you drink. Was hoping for a bit more head, maybe I didn't pour aggresively enough.
S: Lots of roasted malts, some caramel, coconut, roasted wood, a bit of bitter hops, soy sauce and a bit of alcohol astringency. Smells deeply roasted with some sweetness. Very potent.
T: Taste follows the nose pretty well. Though I did notice a lot more coconut sweetness than the nose hinted at, it is still quite subtle. Lots of roast up front with a good balance of sweetness from the malts, some vanilla, dark chocolate and a bit of bitterness. Maybe some coffee notes in there, but mostly just the burnt/roasted malts. A bit astringent as the alcohol creeps in there.
M: I would say this is a borderline heavy bodied brew with good, thin carbonation and a ton of creaminess. The carbonation sizzles on the tongue but turns creamy on the swallow; maybe a tad thin for the style but it keeps it drinkable.
O: A very solid and flavorful American porter with a powerful roasted malt presence balanced nicely with some coconut sweetness and hop bitterness. Nothing complicated here, but this is top-notch quality. I would say that it's a bit astringent for my palate, and obviously a bit heavy for this time of year, but I will pick this up again without hesitation when the colder months roll around and give this one another go. Cheers!

I suppose that if I was currently in Hawaii, this beer would be ok. Like, I just saw some dudes shred the gnar gnar, Hawaiian Tropic chicks on the ready, and spam to cure the hangover. But no, I’m not currently there. And although I am in amazing Southern California, this offering just doesn’t do it for me. Think: Coca Cola made a beer.

Had this on draft a few times and was well pleased, out of a can and not so much. Still good just not great.

12oz can from Boise Co-op. Dark brown pour with traces of light coming through, thin beige head. Light roasty aroma with a hint of coconut. Taste is nutty, light roast, subtle coconut. Finishes with a dry bitterness.

12oz can into a pint glass. Canned 8/21/22, so another 8 month old beer from the variety pack
Decent look, low carbonation, faint cocoa notes in the aroma and taste. Only found the coconut in thg he last couple mouth fulls. Having said that, the base porter is quite tasty.

Pours dark brown with a healthy head of foam, three fingers deep. Aroma is roasted malt and coconut. Taste is very much roasted malt forward, with a slight finish and smoothness of coconut at the end. A hint of chocolate exists. This is a straight forward porter and satisfies as one.

March 2012: 355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.0%. Black colour, huge greyish-brown head. Roasty dryish aroma, notes of wood, cocoa / chocolate, coffee and coconut, a hint of charcoal and smoke. Smooth mouthfeel. The flavour has distinct notes of coconut, also notes of chocolate / cocoa and coffee. Moderate hops. Not too sweet, and the toasted coconut makes this porter something out of the ordinary. Weird, maybe, but unusual.

Very nice porter. The coconut come through but isn’t too strong. Decent mouthfeel. Could have a little better head, but otherwise is a great beer.

Nice porter but lacked much of coconut flavor that I expected.
