Yellow gold with a thin white head.

Bready malty aromas with sweet kettle corn.

Taste is corn, grass, sweet honey, bread, and white grape.

Tingly feel.

On tap at the source. Clear golden straw color with a thick white head. Bright bready aroma with floral noble hoppy notes. Malt forward on the taste as expected with plenty of white bread and dough. A little biscuit. Floral hops in the back. Very nice.

On draught into a tall glass. Yellow gold colour and clear behind the thick condensation. The one finger, loose head reduced to a 3mm cap within a minute despite the high carbonation.

Smell is American adjunct.

Taste is light. Like a euro style lager without any metallic off-notes and only a hint of grain.

Feel is gassy, medium to light body, with a hint of bitterness.

I get no sense this is a helles. There isn't that sharp, clean taste and body that I'd expect. Nor is it a blonde ale. This is a reasonable but unexceptional lager.

Pours medium blonde/light amber. Sigh head hat dissipates, some light residual lacing. Light malt in the nose, as well as grain, breadiness, and some light hoppy notes. Nice light malt flavor, nothing sour or corny, Nice clean malty and light malty finish. Perfect summer beer, Easy drinking, goes with any food. If you are looking for complexity, malt or hop distinctions -- give me a break. This is summer beach beer, and not anything else. Fill the cooler with this stuff, have some friends over, and relax.

I bought one of these and one of their porter. I hope the porter is better.

It's a pretty yellow with nice little foam. The aroma is faintly correct.

The tate is malty and refreshing. It is missing that little bit of tartness I like in some examples of this style.

I wanted an easy drinking brew and this is that, but I've had better examples of the style.

Prob the best lager I've had this week on the island. Can dated 5/20/16 and drank on the beach 6/24/16. I could down a six pack of these easy while I get in and out of the water and bake in the sun. I don't want to go home.

Pale golden color, slightly cloudy (chill haze). Pours a nice tight white head with good retention.

Unpleasant initial aroma - a bit plastic-like, almost medicinal. Guessing not a strong phenolic, but maybe something from the can? Was canned about 3 months before I drank it, so maybe not. Not much malt or hop, but wouldn't expect a big aroma from this beer.

Subtle malt and a hint of a spicy noble hop flavor early, but all very gentle. Very balanced. Slightly earthy hop? flavor in the finish, but overall a pretty clean and super drinkable beer.

Light-medium body and fairly high carbonation. Not a huge fan of the carbonation level, but guessing it is within the style to have a drying element.

Would expect a German lager like this at my local GB, but definitely unexpected in a beer from Maui in a can. Thanks to Rob Jorstad for hooking me up with it.
