A solid Maui offering...

The brew pours out a nice yellow-orange liquid with a thin white head, though there is no staying power or lacing. The smell is absolutely amazing, a sweet, strong scent of pineapple, very mouthwatering. Mouthfeel was overly carbonated, but the taste was a decent blend of wheat brew and pineapple, solid enough. Overall, I thought it very good for the style and for it's overall uniqueness.

A: The beer is rather hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a two finger high fluffy white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of wheat and pineapples are present in the nose.
T: The taste is mostly dominated by flavors of wheat and has some hints of pineapples towards the finish. The pineapples become a tad stronger as the beer warms up.
M: It feels just shy of being light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink but I wished that the pineapple aromas and flavors could have been stronger.

This beer pours a deep gold with an average head. The aroma features dense bready and wheat notes, with pineapple and brown sugar, honey, and clove. The flavor is pretty bright, with graham cracker malts, mild pineapple and lemon flesh flavors, and a sweet-tart finish. The mouthfeel is light but with aggressive foaming carbonation. Overall this is a bit bombastic for a wheat, the texture is more assertive and less creamy than ideal, and the pineapple comes across as a bit tart.

Is this a good one orange is yellow with the about a half finger head and very light lacing on the glass has enough of a pineapple hint to let you know what it is but not overbearing, smell is not as intense as you might like but it just enough to entice you for the drink and then once you get the first swallow you're hooked a real good one.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 7/3/2017. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to small cap that lingers. Light spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pineapple, peach, pear, red apple, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, pineapples, bready malt, and moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of pineapple, peach, pear, red apple, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and slight tart/tangy wheat/fruit on the finish. Lingering notes of pineapple, peach, pear, red apple, light banana/clove, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pineapples, bready malt, and moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a nice fruited pale wheat ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, pineapples, bready malt, and moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy finish. Very well balanced between all flavors. Pineapple wasn't huge, but adequate. Nice hop presence for the style. Nice levels of American wheat yeast character, and balanced malts with no residual sweetness. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Can to becher pint glass, the appearance was a modest pale orange to copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Not much lace, what there was, swiftly slid off into the beer.
The aroma had the pineapple up front, sweetly with some sweet wheat, light grassy hops and then a little bit of sugar cane at the very end.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side with the pineapple and sugar cane up front. Wheat plays a lighter part. Light lemon came in for a subtle balance. Aftertaste was pineapple, sugar cane, and a little bit of wheat.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Though it's fairly sweet, some stickiness does develop to almost become cloying, but the hops and wheat do settle in to grab a little of this.
Overall, pretty nice APWA with the pineapple. Vermont is starting to warm up a bit so this was fine on a late Spring Friday night.
