355ml Can from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£4.20):
Cloudy yellow/straw colour with a thin, half centimetre tall head that is very bubbly looking white colour.

Lemon and citrus with some yeast along with some sweetness and a tiny hint of lemongrass but not as much as I had imagined.

Yeast backed up to a lesser extent by some citrus and a faint hint of sweetness. The beer is fairly standard for a saison with some spice and a slightly tarty taste.

Lots of carbonation,a hint of citrus and spice and overall the beer is light to light-medium bodied and quite wet on the palate for the style.

I expected more from this but it failed to deliver and was average throughout. The taste and smell were both lacking although the beer did look the part, it just didn't back it up elsewhere. It's a typical saison in style and taste but not a great one.

From tasting notes.
L: Pours hazy straw gold with a 1” sudsy white foam collar that provides splotchy lace.
S: Light banana, lemongrass, spice, herbs and some floral notes.
T: Lemony, citrusy, light pilsner malts, some white wine notes.
F: Light with above average carbonation.
O:Very pleasant and drinkable with fine flavors but not very challenging.

Can poured into a tulip

It pours an opaque yellow with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Highly active carbonation runs up the edges of the glass. First smell is bread crust. That gives way to lemon zest. Fairly muted. First sip is slightly tart lemons. I am getting a very subtle hint of yeasty esters before the bready finish. Not a lot going on. The feel is pretty nice. Active carb on the tongue with a clean finish.

Very drinkable. Pretty bland.

A 355ml can with no visible BB date. Picked up a while back from Trembling Madness in York. A collaborative brew between Maui brewing and Lost Abbey, resulting in a modern take on a traditional Belgian style.

Poured into a Delirium chalice. A clear golden hue with some chunky floating sediment and plentiful carbonation. Yields a small head of white foam that lasts for a minute or so before dissipating. Aroma of dry, fruity yeast with hints of coriander, spice, mild lemongrass, faint herbs, grain and a lingering earthiness. Nicely rounded - smells great.

Tastes of earthy, fruity yeast with a crisp, dry finish. Notes of coriander, subtle spice, floral hints, mild lemongrass, faint herbs, grain, light malt, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Highly attenuated, followed by a mild, leafy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with lively carbonation and good body for the style. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of earthy yeast and faint herbs.

Rather good, even if it doesn't quite live up to its name. Looks a bit lacklustre - the head fades very quickly though the carbonation is spot on. Aroma and flavour are decidedly yeasty and spicy, with a mild hint of lemongrass. Nicely balanced but I was hoping the lemongrass would be more obvious. Perhaps it's a character that wanes over time. Decent body. A quality brew - worth sampling though I believe this was a one-off.

A- poured into a tulip. Pours a pale yellow color that's slightly hazy, big three-finger white foamy head that reduces quickly to a thin layer, no lacing

S- dry straw aroma with yeasty and biscuity malt, musty and wet hay bale, fruity esters of pear and apple, a hint of lemony tartness at the end

T- light buiscuity and yeasty malt, fruity pear flavors, lemony citrus floral notes from the lemon-grass almost gives the flavors of a witbier. Dry and slightly tart finish with a slightly tart citrus linger

M- medium body with low low-yet-biting carbonation produces a crisp-yet-slick mouthfeel and dry finish

O- refreshing saison with some nice notes from the lemongrass, however I prefer a little more barnyard funk in a saison and this one was pretty light on that aspect. Overpriced, unfortunately

The creator of the canquest, woodychandler, comes through again with another canned beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a yellow/ whiteish color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of lemons, wheat, funky. Taste is spicy, ginger stands out, some wheat, earthy. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Pours a hazy, pale gold color with a tight, white head that leaves little bits of lacing.

Smells of slight citrus with some grainy malt.

Tastes of the citrus and grain with some spice. Citrus leads off with lemon zest. Some grassy notes come through as well leading into a sweet grainy malt. Touches of funk come on the end with a little peppery spice. Floral hops also make an appearance.

Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, this is a solid saison, but nothing spectacular.

Can picked up at Bier Thirty in Bown last week sometime... Enjoyed tonight after a long day on the clock... Pours a slight hazy glowing straw golden... short lasting white head leaves decent lacing in the wake.

Aromas are pretty traditional Belgian spicy phenols and some expected lemongrass... some bready pale maltiness...

Flavor pretty much mirrors the nose perfectly... perhaps a bit too much residual maltiness IMO, but it isn't a deal breaker.. lemongrass/citrus zest lingers long on the finish.

Body seems heavy for a 5% saison, but a good carbonation helps scrub the palate... pretty drinkable despite being a bit burpy.

Good beer... Not sure I would buy it again, but it is always cool to find a saison in a can.
