Tried this while vacationing on (in?) the Outer Banks. Out of a can, pours a dark gold color with healthy lace that does't dissipate too quickly. Slight carbonation and limited bitterness thanks to a honey, smooth taste. Reminded me of a 'honey brown' like Sleeman or Newcastle. Enjoyed it on the beach!

Enjoyed form the tall boy can in a snifter. This nice little kolsch pours a lightly chill hazed golden color with a moderate head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin wispy layer, and subtle lacing. Nose of toasted grains, honey, subtle grains, and light buttered bread. Flavors exceed the nose with honey touched grain notes on the front and sides, buttery caramel hits mid-taste with subtle herbal hops on the rear. Nice mild carbonation to keep it light, medium mouth feel, subtly dry sweet grainy finish. A decent brew for the style.

Nice

Thanks to my old roomie John for getting me this fine brew as well as the coveted Black Radish.

Cheers

Poured from a tallboy can into a shaker pint, there is a slight chill haze on an otherwise crystal clear, honey gold coloring with a fluffy, bubbly, off-white head that quickly settles out. Nose of subtle toasted grains, hints of rich butter and caramel, and some floral highlights. Flavors are tangy sweet forward, with notes of citrus, caramel, apple, and honey. Very subtle hops bitterness in the backbone, but overpowered by the sweet characteristics. The bod is full, with a subtle carbonation edge. The finish is effervesced and slightly watery at the same time. This gets sugary sweet the more you drink. This misses the style for me.

This one's for you Andy!

Appearance: It has a nice hazy golden/yellow color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down moderately fast and leaves next to no lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of grainy malts, some breadiness, grassy hops and perhaps subtle notes of lemon.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has some grainy/bready malts, a touch of grassy hops and some faint lemon.

Mouthfeel: It has a low-med carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied by decent flavors and aromas.

Serving type: can
