Golden amber in color. Hazy, with an orange cream head. Moderate, streaky lacing. The aroma is malt forward, caramel malt & some orange. Herbal notes as well. The flavor is caramel malt and greens, grassy, herbal qualities. A bit of pine and grapefruit in the finish. Resinous and quite hoppy is the aftertaste, 100 IBUs. A bit of the alcohol feel at the end also. A decent beer, but not a go to for me.

Comes in darker than average, dull amber colors mixed with auburn, but it makes a solid 3/5" white head. Dry hop notes are muted, expresses more woodsiness than hops.

Some malt sweetness, again, looking for those familiar pine, citrus notes, they seem obscured at best. Another one of those hit the crystal malt feels big time. Have had some good hoppy stuff from Oakshire, but this one seemed uninspired and by the old school playbook with no exotic hopping or whatnot. High bitterness, low hop flavor.

A: slight haze; burnt orange in color; 1 finger ivory head that receded to a splotchy cap; very little lacing;

S: a combination of pine and tropical fruit for a moment, then citrus, mostly grapefruit, with pineapple in the background;

T: earthy tropical fruit up front; a little caramel; finish is tropical fruit and orange with very mild bitterness that increases in the aftertaste;

M: medium bodied; low to moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish;

O: nice, but I prefer their Watershed IPA;

Good double IPA. Normal orange/copper color, small foamy off white head. Funky, musty hop aroma. Taste is barley, caramel, and hops. It almost comes together though, not quite a perfect storm....bumped this up for a re-rate on 2015 version. Years rated: 2014, 2015

For such a big taste it was a great drink. Hop dominant but I'll likely be getting it again.

Orange/gold hued body; thick, chunky and creamy head. Powerful orange aroma; pungent. Mild malt grain flavors quickly overtaken with an intense hop bitterness. Smooth and very dry feel.

This beer packs a wallop with the hops yet, for the style, does a very admirable job of balancing things out. Hops and booze dominate things although there is enough malt sweetness and touch of breadiness to keep things sane. Intense and engaging...

Chill-hazed orange amber with nice swirls of foam in the Fuller's nonic. Lemony nose. Some flowery flavors. Spritzy on the tongue and hot with alcohol.

Bitter orange with a sweet candy edge. Seriously spicy. Sudsy mouthfeel adds to the intensity of flavors. Pleasant enough, but overly bitter in the aftertaste. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Safeway in Anacortes, Wash.
