Poured from a 12oz can into glassware

A> Pours a clear orange-gold with a fat 3 finger head that does a decent job at sticking around and clinging to the sides. Gorgeous looking beer.

S> Grapefruit, peaches, a little bit of bubble gum. Pretty aromatic, lots of sweet and bitter flavors are present.

T> Starts with a bit of pine and citrus bitter that quickly mellows out into tropical and peachy hop flavors. As the hops mellow the sweetness from the malt creeps in. The malt comes through with a bit of candy-like sweetness. Finishes quite sweet from the malt with a bit of the hops to bring everything back down to earth.

M> Pretty thick but could stand a little more carbonation, the finish is pretty wet.

O> A pretty solid IPA weighing in at nearly 7% that features some nice tropical & peach hop flavors but is just a little too sweet for my taste.

had this one straight from the can and poured into glass.

in the glass, the appearance is a hazy orange with a soapy, thin head. nice lacing on the glass.

on the nose, lots of dank hops and citrus, some orange, pine, slight grapefruit and peach. tinge of cannabis scent, too. this beer smells great.

on the front of the tongue, a nice wallop of dank, piney hops followed by the sweet citrus, some orange and grapefruit follow. a slight malt backbone. dry finish, slight astringency. thinner mouthfeel and subtler flavors when poured into the glass.

i prefer this one from the can for taste. the beer smells amazing and the glass helps open that up, but the can preserves the hops and citrus flavors more. overall, a reall nice IPA.

12 oz can served cold into a shaker pint glass.

Watershed IPA is a pale golden color with surprisingly good clarity for the style. It has about an inch of head and settles fairly fast. Some lacing is left behind.

Aroma is pleasantly fresh and hoppy with a nice blend of pacific nw hops and the citrusy west coast varieties.

Flavor is bitter but well judged for an IPA. Malts are there to support the hops with just enough sweetness. Hops provide fresh orange zest and pine notes.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated with good IPA balance.

Overall a very solid version of the style. Not sure why it doesn't get the love on BA.

12 oz can. Pours clear straw gold with a small frothy white head that goes to a thin film and laces the glass.

The aroma is subdued - stinky and metallic hops.

The flavor is subdued - some resiny hops that have decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is light bodied and kind of watery.

Overall, I liked this better on tap. The can is watery and subdued with not a lot of flavor.

Pours with plenty of particles floating so hazy and with a fat fluffy head of bone white foam that leaves good lacing. Nose is sweet floral, a bit of citrus, and some tropical fruit like pineapple. Whiff fo alcohol on the nose. The malt promises to be there with a touch of honey and a bit of bread on the nose. Some light sweet herbal and a light sweet earthiness too. taste is very nice. It has a bit of weight to the mouthfeel from malt and some fruity and floral hops. The tropical sweetness meets a bit of earthy grapefruit rind and the hops finish it with a firm bitter. In the drink the malt has a presence and a bit of weight to it. As the beer warms it smells like fruit punch and drinks lovely. It's a bit peppery in the finish which is so unique for an IPA.

I'm not overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by this straight forward IPA. . . Pours light in its color and a little murky while pushing just the slightest of citrus aromas. Beats you up good with a solid bitterness. Other than that though, it is steady she goes. Preaching 70 IBU's and 6.7 ABV, the Watershed IPA trends average right across the line. Better than a fair share IPA's, but I fear it doesn't do enough to stand out and may be in the end forgettable. . .

not exactly the resin bomb you expect from some of the northwest breweries, but a darn good, and mighty sessionable ipa, even at almost 7% abv, its still a beer i can easily down plenty of. lighter in color than many, i pick up on a bit of pils malt right away, coupled with an aggressive but generic hopping, cascade and some columbus if i had to guess, but its hard to say, some C varietals for sure. watershed is a good name, as this has a mineral laden groundwater or runoff property to the water profile, makes it interesting with all the hops. pine driven, well hoppy, medium bitterness, and a punchy freshness that makes it stick despite a relatively clean finish for the style. what i love about oakshire in general is the honesty of it all. a blue collar approach (from what i gather) that presents high quality beer at reasonable prices. not sure what more we can ask for really. good ipa that wage work can afford, i support that to the highest degree.
