On tap. Smell is sweet and fairly light— floral hops, honey, and caramel. Taste follows the nose. There is a touch of spice, though I can’t tell if it’s hoppy or rye based. Nice bready maltiness in the body, and lingering floral notes. Overall, very drinkable and different enough to be very appreciated.

This was one of my favorite brews. It was a pleasant recipe as an IPA as well back in 2015. It tastes like the feeling of summer: bright floral notes and crisp mouthfeel with an easy rye flavor.

The appearance was a clear copper color that started off with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was barely any lacing. The smell had a nice blend of Rye malt to sweet citrus and allowing a nice honey aroma all around. The taste was mainly sweet but allowed a decent spice from the Rye and still had the honey to come in and blends very well. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat sharp but not overbearing at any cost. Overall, this was a pretty good Rye pale ale that had some nice honey to complement.

On tap at the Oakshire Public House.
Deep amber body with a very good looking head.
Roasted grains and hops in the nose.
Some spicy rye flavor is obvious. Initially, mild bitterness, but this builds to a moderate-high level.
Lively medium body.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear copper gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is bready malts with rye and spicy hops.

The flavor is bready malt with rye spices and a big dry resiny bitter hop finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, an OK rye IPA.

22oz bottle $3.99, very reasonably priced for a bomber these days. Darker orange color, almost amber. Aroma is grainy, hoppy, rye, eh. Flavor has some rye, some grains and malts, hops, feels like an IPA. Overall not bad but probably not worth a repeat purchase.

a much better beer than its ratings i think. quite a lot of rye in this pale ale, and well hoppy too, pushing the ipa realm i think. some color to it from the tap, not quite amber, but some copper low lights for sure, and less than an inch of persistent just off white head. great aroma on it, heavy rye is immediately evident, and the hops are bursting fresh northwest C types, pungent and intense. the flavor is as bold as the nose, but there is a strange grain flavor in addition to the rye that i dont love. its bready and thick and it clashes with the rye a little and makes the beer feel too heavy. the rye is strong though in taste, almost peppery for a moment before all the hops kick in. bitter as can be on the tail end, but also quite flavorful, woody and lush at the same time, oily too. hints of pine and green pepper as it goes down. fuller bodied, especially for the low abv, and finishing bitter but dry. a well made beer, could use a few tweaks, but i would happily drink this one again. nice to see these beers coming in kegs now to colorado!

Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of earth, rye, herbal hop, and slight honey aromas. Taste is much the same with rye, earth, and herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer with lots of earthy rye qualities, but nothing too memorable in my opinion.

Serving type: bottle.
