Vibe: The place is located in the basement of a building that is part of the Heavenly Mountain Resort. It was a large room that spanned the entire block and had three separate entrances to the ground floor. One wall featured a bar and the kitchen and the other wall featured lots of big screen televisions that were showing different sports. There was also a beer garden located on the sidewalk in front of the building.

Quality: Beers were served in pint glasses at the proper temperature.

Service: The place wasn't very busy when I stopped by for an early dinner on a Tuesday afternoon and they had plenty of servers so ordering beers and food was quick.

Selection: The drink menu listed five of their beers and eight guest taps (which mostly of which were from West Coast breweries) but I was a little disappointed to hear from the waitress that only two of the brewery's beers were actually available.

Food: I ordered a burger and found it to be very tasty. All of the other people in my group enjoyed what they ordered. I would consider this a place to go to if you wanted food and hit the nearby South of North Brewing Co. if you want a better beer selection.

Visited here with Da Boss on our first day in Tahoe.

Vibe was pretty meh with a mostly convention crowd having lunch and drinking ice tea in the lunch hour.

Quality was meh as well with a very limited number of low rated house brews and decent amount of solid regional guest brews.

Service was slow initially but Brit made up for it with solid service.

Selection was nothing great but better than average.

Overall not a bad stop but one i likely will not repeat.

Great location along the main drag, we sat outside on a pefect day. I wanted a sampler but was talked out of it because, as I was told, it would take too long (they had to go inside and downstairs for the beer and also beciase they were out of, it seemed, half of their brews. Busy season and everybody drank a lot of beer. Same at the other btrepub in town. (If it were me, I'd just tell the crew that the tank's getting low and you'd better brew a new batch. But hey, that's just me. Anyway, had the blonde and it was very goood. Then we went to eat at a nice restaurant wherewe had a reservation. I'd go back and would like to get that sampler….full!

Had a great selection of local beers, as to be expected considering the geographical location. Staff was friendly and the place was cool, I would probably go back and spend more time. Overall a place to certainly visit if in Stateline, NV, the location is cool and is conveniently located to the Casinos.

Crazy atmosphere. It is right on the main drag in South Lake Tahoe, and should have a great view and outdoor seating area, but nope, it is in a cellar. You go behind a gift shop and down a ramp to a basement and then you arrive at a very nice restaurant.
The food was very good, service was outstanding and price was reasonable for a tourist town. The beer selection was small for their beer, but they had a great guest selection. I had their IPA - it was a 3 out of 5. I would go there again.

The place is in a tourist trap but they do a very good job of not being a tourist trap. Friendly and well versed in beer liore and knowledge Decent price considering the area. Their beers a good solid beers for the particular style. I had the. Darker Parker ale. Nice malty strong brown ale. Good selection of craft beers. Heavy on the west coast beers but still a good list. The seven samples for 12 dollars is not bad and you can pick your samples. They do t have to be house beers either. I had the speakeasy prohibition ale. It was rather tasty. Over all a good place to stop in and get away from the slopes

Stateline Brewery's white-out wit beer is a good pub beer. Very tasty though lighter on the spices than Ommegang's Witte beer which is my favorite Belgian Witte beer. Wheat aroma with some hints of coriander. The crisp taste does a good job of cleansing the pallette with a slight effervescence. It has a nice golden color that is cloudy with a bubbly carbonation. The edamane was very flavorful with a little spice almost too much for my wife. The Asian wings were good. Having snacks outside in the sun with the sun setting was fantastic and very enjoyable.

Went here on Monday, August 2. Went in for happy hour with the fiance and sister. We had between the 3 of us Lost Coast Great White (2), Mammoth Double Nut Brown, Anderson Valley Boont Amber and Lagunitas IPA. Fiances sister had the Pork slider. They had some other good looking food that I would get if I went back. Beers were $3 a piece on happy hour. They also had 3 of their own beers (Avalanche Ale, Wit, and one other). They also had some other guest beers (Rogue, Anderson Valley, Deschutes, and a couple others). They had Stone Arrogant Bastard 22oz. bottle for $10 (a little pricey). If you want a souvenir from them, get a 25% coupon and head out the back door and up the ramp to the gift shop.

I went here during a business trip with my boss. If you come the wrong way on the road, you can easily miss the sign! The place is tucked into a tourist mall but the atmosphere is not touristy at all.

The brewery is a very small operation tucked into a corner of the restaurant. It is 1 fermenter and 3 bright tanks. Being so small I was not surprised to see only 3 of the local produced beers on tap. They did have a nice selection of guest beers. On the day I arrived, they had the wit, pale and pilsner on tap. The beers were good, but not exceptional.

The menu has a nice selection of American favorites; including steaks, pasta, pizza and burgers. The food was good and of large portions.

Located below ground level. They only have 4 house brews. I had the Avalanche Ale which was quite good. This is offset by a good number of guest brews on tap including Rogue, Desctutes and a number of craft bottled beers. The bartender was friendly but was not familiar with all the types of beers they served.

As this place caters to tourists in the summer and is part of a ski resort in the winter, they also carry the usual Macros for the masses. The menu had a good variety but not too extensive. Considering the location on Lake Tahoe the prices are quite reasonable.

Pretty cool looking place, below ground with a nice bar area with tons of TVs, and a large eating area. The place was pretty busy too.

Quality was decent. I had a pilsener, that was pretty good.

Service was sub par at best. Our service was so indifferent, and didn't seem to care about the customer at all. He was prompt, but that's about the only positive thing I could say.

Selection was weak. I think they had 4 of their own house beers, which were all on blank taps, and not featured at all. They did have a decent selection of guest taps though.

Food was good. A little pricey, but I dug the pizza I had.

All in all? Not bad, but not really good either. This place seems to focus on things other than beer. I guess this is a place to take your non beer friends, but as a beer lover, you might end up being unimpressed.

Stateline "Brewery" had only ONE of its beers on tap -- they had 6 on their menu. They have other beers including Deschutes Porter and Mendocino Eye of the Hawk on tap. The point here is they are not producing anything of their own so it's really a bar not a brewpub or brewery.
Quite a shame too--they have great location next to the Heavenly Valley Ski area Gondola in the middle of downtown Stateline/South Lake Tahoe.
They offer half-price pizzas during happy hour that are okay. The guy who makes the beer must be doing this more--they offer a lot of choices for this. These pizzas are marked up so the half-price is a marginal bargain.
The servers were good but even they were skeptical about their brewing process/choice.
Overall I'd say you should avoid this place until they get it together and figure out how to get their brews on tap--maybe they're all as bad as the one we tried.

Located in a basement in South Lake Tahoe right next to the state line that is this place's namesake. Fairly big place with a decent atmosphere, despite the fact that it's more or less a pizza joint and has lots of kids there. I didn't try the food, but it looked reasonable enough. For a brewery, the selection of beers brewed there pretty much sucks. Pilsner, pale ale, and rotating tap, which at the time was a scotch ale. The quality of the beer is a solid "meh." If you're someone who knows beer, nothing they brew is likely to impress you. There are, however, some reasonable guest taps from Rogue, Deschutes, etc, as well as some good bottles including a few Belgian and Belgian-style ales. Service is pretty solid. Nice people working there. Overall, this place is pretty average, and the Lake Tahoe area as a whole has some catching up to do as far as beer goes.

This place was awesome!!! I went to Carson City with my fiance and the whole time I was compaining about not finding any breweries. Then I go to Tahoe with her and her sister and we found this place. They have an awesome selection of beer, good food, reasonable prices. The service was awesome. The beer they brewed there was also really good. Definitely have to go there next time your in South Lake Tahoe. I went upstairs and talked to the guys in the store about the brewery where I bought myself a tshirt and pint glass. I agreed with them on the fact that it was an awesome brewery.

While in Tahoe I had Cecil's three times: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast I had biscuits and gravy with bacon and a couple over easy eggs. The eggs came out cool and so did the gravy. I had the server top off the biscuits with more sausage gravy and warm em up. For lunch I had a french dip with roasted potatoes. The meat was great but I was looking for a fresher roll. I had the french dip with a bloody mary that was huge and garnished like they ran it through the garden. Finally for dinner, I had the best meal of my entire week's stay; Mediterranean Scallops, from what I remember was 6 sea scallops seared and tossed with Kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, in a tarragon wine sauce over angel hair pasta for $19.95. Paired amazingly well with the Lagunitas IPA they had on tap and hands down my best meal up there. Unique place - they have a deli down stairs that looked pretty good. Downside is that Cecli's was waiting for their seasonal brew to ferment so it was going to be two weeks till tap.

I'll go down the list and describe what I know of the place.
Atmosphere- really bad there is no atmosphere the place is down stairs below the sidewalk. There is a large open room with a bunch of tables, bar and kitchen are on one side of the building. Towards the back which is a second entrance is where you find the brewing kettles, fermenters, etc. Other than the televisions nothing is going on the room is pretty bland.
Quality- of the two times I have visited everything is of excellent quality, it's what you would hope for in the area and the price.
Service- is also excellent the waiters/waitresses are either picked well or trained well.
Selection- If we are talking food then refer to the name, they are a steak house but have plenty of other good looking plates that I haven't tried. But now if we are talking about the brew this an interesting thing, when I first stopped by in '05 they had all of the equipment sitting in the back not being used. When I returned this year they had begun brewing but at the time all they had was a scotch style ale that was very tasty. Their selection is never limited to any less than 6 microbrews. Of the three visits each time different beers are being poured.
Value- this is the area I really don't appreciate, at 6 a pint I don't find myself staying around for a second.
