Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at his tasting.

Pours an almost opaque crimson-brown with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, toasted coconut, and sunscreen aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, toasted coconut, and sunscreen flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with interesting coconut aspects that come across as a bit like sunscreen in the smell and taste.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a bit of light at the edges., Half finger light brown head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, nuts, light vanilla, chocolate and coconut. Flavor follows with semi-sweet dark toasted malt, chocolate, nuts and light vanilla and coconut. Mild hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation. A nicely flavored imperial stout with the additional flavorings deftly done; nuts, vanilla and coconut are present, but none of them dominate. Really, nicely balanced overall. Body is not as heavy as expected for an imperial stout, but satisfactory. Nothing stands out, but a solid, tasty stout with interesting additional flavors that work well together.

This is my second pass at this beer. Sorry to my former reviewers, but this beer is way under-rated.

The look is black, black, black with a nice thin creamy golden head. If you're looking for a solid coconut stout on the nose, I challenge you to find a better one.
The taste is all coconut and stout. A bit too sweet for a higher rating, but a strong showing nonetheless. The feel on this beer is probably the most impressive part. Creamy and delicious. Not super-carbonated but enough to balance the feeling of fat/creaminess.

It's a retired beer, but snag one if you get the chance.

22oz into a tulip. Pours a pretty thin cola brown with a fluffy khaki head, some nice sticky lace.

Aroma is nutty and sweet. Molasses, hazelnuts, vanilla.

Taste is roasty, malty, and sweet. Toasted coconut, vanilla, root beer. A hint of chocolate.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth, but maybe a little thin for an imperial stout.

Overall a pretty good beer but falls a little short of outstanding.

Poured into a wine glass, dark brown with a huge fluffy off white head. Smelled of sweet roasted malts, a touch of coconut and a bit of milk chocolate cocoa. Nice coconut flavor without over doing it. The roasted malts and subtle sweetness really help to balance this out. Nice creamy mouth feel, almost like a milk stout but on the thinner side. I guess that makes sense since it's a coconut creme stout. Not the absolute best, but still a really good beer to at least try once.
