Cloudy gold with lots of floating chunks. Small white head that leaves quickly but leaves some nice lace.
Smell is dank citrus and pine.
Taste is Tropical fruit dank hops and a touch of pine. Malts are light but enough for the style.
Mouthfeel is light to medium and carbonation is light.
Overall a tasty beer with a good mix of hop varieties.
This is a one time collaboration so grab it quickly before it is gone forever!

4-pack picked up at the COOP for $11... Will likely be at least a couple bucks more at other places around town. Pours clear golden with a short lived 1" white head... Nose is piney and sorta minty hoppiness with some lesser fruitiness/citrus.. pale malt is only there to carry the hops.... Bitterness up front is not too heavy on the palate but it does linger and the is picked up by the piney hops again mid-palate and moves on toward the finish.. The minty hop essence comes on in the end... Light body and definitely not as heavy as last year's version... Still this is a winner.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Great aroma of hops here, complex with tropical, citrus, pine and a bit dank; there's a light neutral malt in there somewhere, but the aroma is really too appealing to care about anything else. Flavor is less compex, hop forward with citrus and piney hops dominating. Neutral malt, orange family and light tropical fruit flavors, a nice light piney resinous element and a bit of earthiness that works well with the other flavors. Medium bodied with good carbonation. This is a nice IPA with an interesting selection of hops, but I can't help but think that with a little higher ABV some of the awesome fruit notes in the aroma might have been enhanced in the flavor. This is one of the cases where the flavor is great, but still a let down from the aroma, which was really spectacular. Worthy of these respected breweries and a great series of collaborative IPAs. Fort George is always solid, Pfriem just came into our market with some excellent offrerings and Georgetown brews Lucille, which is one of the unsung great IPAs of the area; not widely known because it's not bottled. It is one of the joys at local restaurants because it shows up in places one doesn't expect a great craft beer. This 3-Way grew on me as I drank it; the hops really are well selected.

-Color: Quite possibly my favorite part about this beer is the way it looks. Has a nice head on its shoulders. Its a bits lighter in color than most IPAs I’ve been drinking lately and it has some sediment in it as well.

-Nose: Grapefruit, a bit of hay, and a bit of yeast.

-Flavor: Nice and bitter the strongest suite of this beer’s flavor. Its not afraid of being an IPA you can taste the hops.

-Rating: 3/5- It’s an above average IPA and definitely changed my perception of collabs being a bad thing. Not as much juicy citrus as I would have hoped for but it does finish smooth and refreshing as you would hope for a summer IPA.

-Cheers!

Pine is very apparent on the nose and taste. Smooth mouthfeel. Up there with the best IPAs around. Got to taste this both from the can and on tap from the brew pub. Consistently good both ways. Came away with 2 four packs!
