Very Good
Notes: Once in awhile you find that magical place. A creative confluence of scenic panoramas, bountiful lands, and independent spirit. Whether you call it Shangri-La or Utopia or the City of Dreams, one thing is certain – this is the beer you will find there.

On tap at Fort George Brewing

A: Pours super hazy pale golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.

S: Tropical and stone fruit, zesty citrus, a touch of pine, biscuity malt, and just a little sweetness.

T: Bright zesty citrus, grapefruit, lime, and lemon, supported with a nice fruity side, passion fruit, peach, apricot, and a hint of melon, a little resinous pine, biscuity malt, and a touch of sweetness.

M: Medium body, softness on the palate is broken up by moderately prickly carbonation.

O: Really solid NE style pale. Brightens up a sorta foggy day up here

12 oz single purchsed from Lifesource Natural Grocers in Salem OR $2.29 Wow this is a hazy one.NEIPA style like pulpy orange juice with a nice creamy white head. Very fruity hop aromas..oranges, peach, mango and guava. Taste the same..but with a wee bit of danknes to remind you this is Oregon! Pretty nice palate to the beer..well carbonated but with enough substance to the body to keep it interesting. Nice beer not usually my style ( NE)..but i liked it.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Full-on murky yellow-gold color with over an inch of fluffy white head that had good retention and light lace.

Fruity hop aroma and taste. No malt or bitterness. Body was typical thin, with a semi-sweet finish. drinkability was fine, but, one-and-done for me.

Pale opaque yellow that verges on grey/washed out kind of appearance. Big wet bubbles form together initially but settle down into a fine shroud that gathers at the edges. Minimal lacing.

Nose is sweet citrus and maybe some apricot bounded by a touch of yeast.

Flavour takes strong stabs in a couple of different directions including guava/papaya/mango (in that order) as well as the citrus mentioned above. What are those little orange coloured fruits? Tangelos? Kumquats? Somewhere in all there. The citrus should have been listed first because that is the main driver of this engine. Sweet tart little orange fruits. I could convince myself of shades of honeydew, but really that's more the interplay of the other flavours I think.

Body doesn't carry much heft, but it does carry some full carbonation which contributes to the citrus soda descriptions.

Can dated 12/21/17 into a shaker pint.

L: Pours hazy brown bronze with almost 2 fingers of variable density eggshell white head with moderate retention

S: Loved the nose, very tropical. Prominent apricot, nectarine, mango and a bit of passion fruit, some citrus undertone emerge as it warms.

T: Inverts the nose, dominant citrus, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, tropical fruit aspects very subtle to non-existent. Finishes with mild bitterness and moderate astringency, both clear quickly.

F: Lighter bodied with medium-high carbonation, tingly tongue from the astringency and carbonation, slightly chalky on the finish.

O: It's an interesting beer. There's parts that I really like (i.e. the nose) but also parts that I don't care for (i.e. feel) for my palate and preferences. I'm internally torn. Will revisit if I can find it in the future fresher.

Oh, I guess it is hazy. It's such a fun and pleasant beer I had opened a second can before I really looked at it. Quite a frosted yellow color in the Orval chalice with plenty of white foam. Quite sharp in the mouth, and full of fizz and very light bodied. Full of bright fruity aromatics.

Hints of apricot and orange. Just a modest but distinct bitterness in the finish. Honeydew melon aftertaste along with the citrus peel. Flavor is surprisingly complex and changing. Overall, this is a delicious and refreshing lighter brew. From the six pack purchased at Central Market north of Seattle.

This an odd beer. Really disappointed with this. I was so hoping this would've been a hit seeing that it is a hazy year round beer in six packs. Looks nice and hazy and feels fairly full, but the hull melon hops used are just not playing well. Garlicky and onion notes are not something I want in a beer. Couldn't even finish is was so overpowering of flavor. What a bummer. At least field of greens is great.

12oz can

Pours less than a finger of white head into my tulip glass. Apparently this is a juicified pale ale, cause the body is cloudy as all hell. Orange and creamy looking. Small amount of trub. Head was meh, but has left some good initial lacing. Looks ok so far.

Nose is definitely juicy as well. Bursting with mango, lemon, and a small touch of zest. Small amount of dankness, Simcoe probably. Not super heavy on the aroma's, but they are very nice. I like this take on the juice bomb.

The flavor is certainly not as pronounced as the aroma. Not a huge problem considering I wasn't even expecting a NE pale ale, but it's what they were obviously going for, and the flavor doesn't really reflect that. Yeah I mean really not very juicy at all on the flavor. Some citrus, finishes with a small, crisp hop bite, albeit not very complex. Not very sweet. For an APA this is ok, for a NEPA this is sub par. Either way it's not amazing. I'll give these guys a break because I don't care if it's a NEPA, and I'll say the flavor is ok. It is very refreshing and clean, I'll give them that.

The mouthfeel is decent. Carbonation is medium - low. The body is also probably medium - low, light but it has so girth to it. Bitterness hits for a bit at the end, doesn't really linger. Very crisp and refreshing. Pretty nice.

The drinkability is very good here. It's light and it tastes fine. Also, while it isn't very fruity, it does have a spring/summer feel to it.

The appearance turned out good. Lacing was pretty good overall. While the bodies in these beers are weird as hell, I actually like them.

Overall this is a fine brew. It's refreshing and clean. Just not nearly enough flavor, even for a pale ale.

Aroma is strongly citrus. Hazy pale orange/yellow color with a very short white head that disappears before you can even describe it. moderate, but flat, mouth feel. Initial taste is juicy citrus, orange juice, mild with no bitterness whatsoever and no citric acid bite. The initial taste profile carries through to the finish and aftertaste. I can best describe it as hard orange juice, not a pale ale.

Crowler from Growler Guys. Hazy, milky pale yellow. Fuzzy, airy head fades to ring. Light citrus aroma. Taste too is very melliw, citrus, juicy. Looking for more sting, but this is a pale. Still seems like ur could use something else.
