rPicked this up at a local Portland bottle shop, served in a snifter glass.
A: Pours a clear copper color, not much head with very little lace.
S: Smells very floral and piney from the hops. Also smells oakey from the bourbon barrels. Smells kind of interesting actually
T: Not much malt at all, slight floral/herbal taste followed by a huge piney hop bitterness. Alcohol seems way higher than the 9% or whatever it said on the bottle. It tastes honestly like rubbing alcohol with hops added.
M: Medium bodied, finishes very dry and astringent
O: Not sure what they were going for with this beer but I think they missed the mark. I'm a big fan of most Ft George beers but this beer sucks big time.

Edit: For anyone disputing this review, please contact me directly first. This brew is OBVIOUSLY an old keg, but in the PNW, these kegs have been released again recently at growler stations and at obviously unsuspecting bars. It is a disaster and NOBODY should spend the $$$.
****************
MIni growler picked up at the Meridian Growler guys tonight.. hazy golden... perfumed oxidized pale malt with weird apricot esters and and abundant sawdust oaky element that shows no resemblance of Bourbon Aging.. This is a keg that somebody forgot about and the brewery and the distributor should be ashamed they put these out there. This should have been DUMPED... not poured into growlers at GGM and the Boise COOP. Shameful.
Unfortunately, this was probably a fantastic beer when it was released 3+ years ago.. But now it is a disaster.

Served in straight pint glass. Poured a very cloudy orangeish amber color with just over a half-inch of off-white head that had very good retention and moderate-to-low lacing.
The aroma featured a very strong wine scent, big citrus hops, a basic fruitiness and no real malt profile. A huge hit of alcohol is the first thing to hit the taste buds, and is followed up by the same hops, fruit, and wine as in the aroma. There was a strong, lingering alcohol taste at the back end.
The body was nicely full, and mostly clean, except for the alcohol finish. The alcohol taste really hurt drinkability, I've had a few of these now, and I wouldn't have two in a row. Overall, an interesting and good brew that's not going to be for everyone. Worth a shot if you see it.

Thanks to GRG1313 for sharing this one at his tasting.
Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, floral, bourbon, and wood aromas. Taste is much the same with bourbon and floral flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of woody bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that smells better than it tastes in my opinion

I'm not sure why all the reviews on here say that this beer was drying. Personally i found the opposite to be true. The rose hips actually provided a smooth passage for this beverage. I found nothing about this beer to be astringent or drying whatsoever and the lack of aftertaste is almost unheard of in an ipa. Frankly this was one of the better IPA's ive ever had. I love the cloudy appearance of Belgians and i found that the yeast actually complimented the hops in this beverage( contrary yet again to the reviews I have read). I seriously hope that they will decide to remake this beverage as I could see this being a regular beer in my lineup!

Thanks for sharing Eric!
Densely Murky orange, fluffy coating sheets if foam, long lasting.
Floral aroma, some sticky vanilla, light sweetness.
Fruity flavors of golden raisin and vague citrus, spicy tannic bitter aftertaste. Noticeable whiskey, smooth creamy feel. Overall enjoyable, it was a unique combination though I'm not sure I'd seek it out again.

[Suggested Glassware: Snifter]
The pour was a medium brown with a nice orange hue and a large (2-3 finger) cream colored rocky head that receded very slowly, down to a large thick cap with excellent sheets of sticky lacing.
The aroma was of a light biscuit malt, floral hops and a mild funky Belgian yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit), a mild fruity ester (apple and pineapple), a hint of cask and a moderate bourbon scent.
The taste was bitter sweet and a tad yeasty, with a hint of caramel and a slight fruitiness right off, and then became a bit hoppy with a somewhat bold citrus peel bitterness along with a lightly sweet woody alcohol presence at the end. The flavor lingered for quite a long time proceeding the swallow, with a slight citrus peel bite hitting you right in the back of the throat.
Mouthfeel was just below medium in body and dry it texture with a moderate carbonation.
Overall this brew possessed a good hoppy bitterness that was offset rather nicely by a mild fruity presence, which created a beer that was very easy to drink and left a pleasing aftertaste on the taste buds...
