On-Tap at the Allentown Brew Works
A - Dark, chocolate brown color with a thin light brown head, laces nicely
S - Dominant notes of chocolate, cocoa, light fruitiness, oats and malts
T - Chocolate and malts are the dominant flavors, and there is a definite ashy flavor; slight alcohol warmth hits the front of the pallet but subsides nicely behind the rest of the flavors; slight sugary sweetness
M - Feels a little thin and watery for the style, leaves a dryness on the pallet
D - Easy to drink, seems more session-able then it probably is at 5.7 ABV, but I still enjoyed a few. Maybe it's just me, but I would label this a stout based on mouthfeel alone...I know there is no real difference between the two, but I've become accustomed to a thicker, heavier beer being labeled as Porter...just my .02

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, light chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, easy drinking. Feels medium/light in the mouth and overall a pretty good beer, but nothing special.

12/28...on tap in Allentown PA...pours medium dark brown. Foam capped. Coffee notes, chocolate too. Light bodied, and thin mouthfeel. Like the flavor, but like my porters a little heartier.

12 oz bottle, no date.
pours a very dark brown, off-white colored head that fades to a thin ring. no lacing. mild milk chocolate sweet aroma. taste is similar, just a touch of sweetness. no roast flavors at all. medium to thicker body, mild carbonation.
overall - easy to drink, subdued flavors.
