On tap at Funcks in Palmyra, PA, part of a 4.5oz flight.

Thick oily black with oatmeal colored head. Left great lacing. Aroma was sweet, dried fruit, touch of booze. Taste was of a thick, full, stout with only a touch of the alcohol on the tonge, whcih surprised me a bit. Overall, and enjoyable Imperial Stout, quite different in the finish from the BBA version.

2011 vintage 750ml corked & caged bottle

appears black, with nice tan colored head. good head retention. nice mild roasty aroma, taste follows in the same vein, but is a bit acidic, a little ashy, a bit of charcoal. bitter finish. thicker body, lower carbonation.
