22oz bottle into a tulip. no freshness dating that i could find.
dull dk amber body, slightly cloudy. very good carbonation up the side of the glass. massive white foamy/creamy head leaving thick lacing.
aroma is a mix of champagne, slightly tart fruit, spoiled by a slightly unpleasant chemical smell.
taste follows the nose. the raspberry/champagne flavors are quite mild, and the chemical taste is also more muted than the aroma would suggest.
mouth is pretty close to full, finish is slightly dry and tart, but does leave a faintly unpleasant taste on the tongue.
overall, it doesn't taste like a standard saison. as a drink on it's own merits, the faintly chemical taste throughout is a bit of a spoiler. no idea how old this one is, a bottled date would be helpful Fegleys.

Pours a very slightly red tinted amber, with almost no head or lacing. Fragrance is subdued. A hint of fruit and little else. Pleasant enough.
The taste, though, is pretty good! It is slightly tart, not quite sour. Blindfolded, I don't know that I would guess raspberry, but the fruit taste is definitely there. It's well carbonated, which helps the overall experience of drinking this brew.
I can kind of see this beer as a decent introduction to the world of sour ales for those who are afraid of trying sour ales, even though it is not categorized as one.

2.92/5: Fails as a saison, but it works well as a general raspberry beer that's not disgustingly sugary

Nice darker red/orange look with a nice white head from tap. Scent has some sweet raspberry and mostly Saison funk. The flavor is somewhat sweet and raspberry but I didn't know what was in it and I thought grape at first. It's soft for a 7% and a bit thin with decent carbonation.

Pours a reddish copper color with very little head. The nose has raspberries and a touch of funk. The flavor is mildly sour with a hint of fruitiness.
