Pours a dark amber color with about one finger of white fluffy head that quickly disappears.

The scent is of a variety of spices; most notable are nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon. Alcohol is also very noticeable.

The taste is dominant of spices also, cinnamon and nutmeg mainly with some pumpkin flavor also. Again alcohol is very noticeable.

Medium body, a bit of a chewy feel, moderate carbonation

This was one of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had. The high alcohol content made it a little unbalanced but I still enjoyed it.

A: Foamy hed, with decent lacing. Lots of lacing. The color could be more inviting tho; lager.

S: Pumpkin pie and spices. Clove and cinnamon. Squashy. Vanilla. Raw pumpkin....pumpkin rind.

T: Yummy. NOT PUMPKIN PIE; which is nice. A malty, delicious brew with hints of cinnamon, clove and raw pumpkin. Clove finishes.

M: Chewy, and full bodied. A really nice coat on the tongue! Really nice!

O: This is a refreshing take on pumkin beers. NOT PUMPKIN PIE, BUT JUST PUMPKIN. Great job Allentown. I love PA breweries!!!

Pours a dark copper body beneath the ruby hues and tan head that leaves only a thin lacing around the glass.

Generous aromas of pumpkin and spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg float from the glass.

The flavor also offers pumpkin flavors with pleasant fall spices but the pumpkin in the flavor is more sweet pumpkin meat than anything else. There are also some woody stem and toasted malt notes.

Medium in both body and carbonation with a spicy pumpkin finish.

This is a pretty nice pumpkin ale with plenty of traditional characteristics and seemingly well balanced.

This beer is a clear amber color with a small white head. I am always intrigued with pumpkin beers, especially stronger examples of the style. This one was a little disappointing. It's a mildly malty, spicy, pumpkinish brew. Somewhat overspiced. It's not as warming or full as expected. Medium mouthfeel, but a little over carbonated. Not a great beer.

Purchased a 4-pack of 12oz bottles at Wegman's in Collegeville PA.

I won't pretend to know much about what characteristics are ideal for beer. I just know that when I drank this I tasted pumpkin and some spice, and the flavors were nicely balanced to my thinking. The spices were there but did not overpower the pumpkin flavor. I like pumpkin and liked that I could taste it. This a a beer I can enjoy with a meal or a snack, and wouldn't mind a second if I am feeling thirsty. Careful though, it's not named Devious for nothing - packs a bit of a wallop, so another good reason to enjoy with food.

12 oz bottle into SAVOR tulip.

A: a very dark orange brew. head is bubbly and a little off-white but unfortunately doesnt last long or leave a trace behind.

S: lots of spicy notes, but the allspice is definitely the most dominate. nutmeg. very, very spicy nose.

T: boatloads of cinnamon and allspice to get things going here. i know a lot of pumpkin beers have those two things going on, but this beer takes it to another level. there are definitely cider notes in here too. finish is spicy and dry.

M: moderate amount of carbonation. medium/full bodied.

D: not too shabby. big time spice notes makes this a pumpkin beer lovers dream. im still saying my all-time favorite is ST pumking, but this is up in the top 5.
