This is a delicious, dependable pale ale with a rich golden hue, and lots of character. Very similar to Southern Tier Harvest Ale; Under-rated so far by the BA members, and I can't fathom why.

12 oz bottle, no date.

pours a hazy dark golden color, bright white head. decent head retention. aroma is a mix of of slightly stale hops and malt. almost an earthy soapy citrus smell. taste is also off a bit, tastes old. average body, higher carbonation.

Not impressed at all. Only one flavor profile no head which means no lacing light bodied.
Very one sided beer. BITTER BITTER AND MORE BITTER
I would not drink again but if you like very bitter very hoppy beers, this is the one for you. I chocked it down but just not my favorite. Slightly disappointing.

This brew pours with a very fluffy white head, strong carbonation and is about 50% opaque. It is a nice clear yellow when held up to the light and a brown/orange color when not held up to the light.

The smell is piney hops, soapy, pine resin, orange and other citrus hops.

The taste follows the nose with piney and orange hops at the beginning, moving to a malt backbone the dry piney hops at the end. A dry aftertaste is left in the mouth after swallowing along with a little pine resin.

The feel is solid and chewy but also dry. This goes down kind of rough due to the bitter, dry aftertaste.

Overall this is a solid but unimpressive American IPA. It has potential but the dryness is a real turn off for me; a little more hop oil would be better. However, if you like a brew with a dry aftertaste, go for it. A little more flavor complexity would be nice as well.
