Looks good, but the smell and taste are a touch acrid for what I was expecting in this style. Vegetable vibe from another reviewer seems about right. Feel is closer to expected, but overall a miss.

Appearance: Dispensed a near clear, light coppery toned body with a very thin, very brief, white head.
Smell: Just the merest toastiness with a razor thin, crisp glaze of sugary toffee. In the background is just this unkempt, unclean vegetable vibe.
Taste: Sunshine has a very thin toasty taste, a fairly reserved toffee flavor, though its sweetness is there with a little meager bit of hops as well. Still with that grody vegetal quality leading to a sourish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: Clean up your act!

12 oz can served near the brewery (listed as Florida Beer Co.).
Appearance. Clear amber colored body with a durable, moderate sized white head.
Unexceptional, hop forward aroma. The flavor, nonetheless, is above average. It's clean, well balanced, and leaves a mild but pleasant aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Near medium body with medium carbonation.

I must take issue with my beeradvocate brethren here, who have landed this brew squarely in the "Okay" category. I feel like, along with some other notably misunderstood beers here, they are rating to a preconceived style, rather than the intended purpose.
This is listed as a "Vienna", which is true, but more specifically, it is a Vienna brewed to be enjoyed when it's 97 degrees in the shade during your Florida vacation. It demands to be ice cold, and demands you to be sweating profusely with no hope of relief and no deodorant in sight, but you still will not allow yourself to be demeaned into ordering a Budweiser.
It features more than a hint of toasty malt and hops, but with enough "easy-drinking" character to allow you to just pound a few and end your misery by your resort pool while the kids are crying, screaming, and throwing beach balls at each other, as you try to eke out a tiny bit of enjoyment during this overpriced nightmare of a trip.
Yessir, Florida Lager is a winner. It's Sam Adams under the sun. I brought a case back with me just to try to hang on to the memories.

Enjoyed bottled (12 oz) on the beach at the Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront and throughout Melbourne, FL. Easy drinking and refreshing, with a light body, moderate carbonation; grainy, bready malt body with a bit of caramel sweetness, and just enough spicy, bitter hops. An easy choice among a long list of AALs.

Got this in a prize raffle at a fundraiser. Looked at most of the beer and thought I need this like a third nut.
Poured from a 12 ounce into a pint glass. Brownish yellow with a medium sized head that went away quickly with decent lacing. Nice bready malty smell and taste. Nice mouthfeel.
I drank this after doing some yard work and was a sweaty mess. It was fine for quenching my thirst pleasantly. I'm glad I didn't pour it out. Maybe a saison would've been better aesthetically but this was here and free (almost). I hope that keeps me from being an insufferable beer snob.

12 oz. from the bottle.
Appearance: From bottle. Dunno guy.
Aroma: Malt, grain, brown bread.
Taste: Follows nose. Little caramel, fair amount of brown bread.
Mouthfeel: Average, largely inoffensive.
Overall: Pretty typical lager with some dark lager notes. Similar to Sam Adams and the such.

Sunshine State Florida Lager pours a clear copper color, with a small lacing head. Very nice warm crisp malty aroma. Flavor is warm and crisp, with a nice sweet malty flavor. Good body and feel. Overall, a very nice crisp lager, not overpowering, with good sweet flavors.
