12oz bottle poured into a standard pint. Enjoyed proper sitting on Jax beach. The brew appears a hybrid sort of clear golden amber color with a white head about a finger strong.

The smell is sweet with caramel malt and a bit of toasty appeal. The aroma seems exaggerated with a corn-like sweetness. Other than that, there isnt much to take in.

The taste is sweet with toasty caramel malt. An aftertaste of corn and a yeasty quality fills the mouth. Some rinds and cantaloupe flavor come in mid-palate but with no perceived bitterness.

This is a medium bodied, lightly carbonated offering. It is fairly easy drinking adjunct lager of sorts that was worth it to say I had it. Under other circumstances I probably would have hated this but in the hot sun, it wasnt bad.

Pours a medium straw color with a short lived head. Cracker like aroma, some bread and floral as well. In the taste, grainy and malty but fairly clean. Inoffensive and easy drinking at the least, and cleaner than many lagers I've had. The body is medium somewhat heavy for the style. Overall, a decent Vienna lager, not great.

Aroma is fairly sweet and lightly toasted, with a grainy character accompanying, and floral hops.

Flavor is sweet, as well, and very floral, with a lightly toasted malt and grainy backbone and a lightly bitter finish. Much more interesting than the American lager. It's perhaps a bit sweet for the style. A bit of bitter emerges late, along with some esters that don't belong.

Brown tinted amber, minimal head on the pour. Scent brings notes of sweet malt extract with faint stale hopping. Taste carries over from scent, lightly bitter and earthy, sweet but not overly flavorful. Medium bodied, some heft and lacking in carbonation. Nothing to see here folks...

Poured from bottle into pint glass

Appearance – Pours a golden color with a one finger white head. The head fades moderately fast to leave a lighter level of lacing.

Smell – The smell is quite heavy of a bready and corny aroma. While these smells are the main aroma there is a lighter sweet smell of caramel mixed within.

Taste – The taste begins with a bready and caramel flavor. As the taste moves forward the sweetness increases some with the caramel getting stronger as well as some flavors of corn coming to the tongue. In the end the sweetness fades some, leaving a slightly drier and bready flavor on the tongue.

Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is rather moderate in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is just slightly above average. The characteristics of the beer are really quite nice for the style, making it very drinkable but yet still allowing the malty flavors to shine through.

Overall – A pretty tasty lager. Very drinkable and a nice blend between sweet and malty. Not bad.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle, no #freshbeer date.

Chilled haze on a honey colored body. Initial 2-3 finger head settles to a fat ring with pock marks and mild lacing. Aroma is of nutty malt mixed with grainy cereal. Flavor is much the same. Honest, clean with no flaws. Came expecting not much but it's alright.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear light copper color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is toasted malt and some caramel. The taste is hop driven with some faint malt in the background. An average beer.

Pours a clear gold with amber tones. Light head and no lace discernible.

Nose is subtle toasty grains and yeast. Nothing special.

Flavor brings this one back, though, with an odd tinge of tropical fruit rounding out the toasted grains. Seems quite well-balanced and not over-malted as some lagers can be. I say, this one's solid and well worthy.

Another from the most recent shipment from a beer club. We do not get this prewery's products up my way.

a: Clear amber with a half finger thick white head which receded to nearly nada.

s: Mild bready malt

t: Mild Belgian yeast light fruit notes over a medium bready malt base. Dry finish.

m; Medium with good body and carbonation tingle.

o: A good dinner brew and a pretty substantial-feeling sipper. Perhaps because of the phenomenal success of Cigar City, this brewery tends to be underrespected in its home state IMO. The Florida Swamp Apes I have had were excellent as well.

This pours a clear, amber color with a slight, foamy head. The aroma has grains, malts, and a bit of spicy hops. The flavor is full of cheap grains reminding me of Busch or Genuine Draft but this is a little better tasting. Very simple and plain as it’s nothing out of the ordinary other than a basic local beer.

[Suggested Glassware: Lager Glass]

The pour was a clear golden amber with a huge (3-4 finger) white pillowy head that receded at a slow steady pace down to a thick film and large collar with excellent sheets of lacing.

The aroma was of a light grain malt, grassy hops and a moldy yeast with a hint of caramel and a touch of honey.

The taste was lightly malty sweet with a hint of caramel from the start and had a mild bitterness with slight honey sweetness at the end. The flavor lasted an average duration following the swallow, with a slightly metallic bitter taste left to linger a bit longer.

Mouthfeel was light in body and watery in texture with a fizzy carbonation.

Overall a pretty basic American Lager, that had a crisp feel to it with a lingering aftertaste...

Appearance- Golden amber color, but hazier towards the top with deeper amber colors and very little visibility, whereas the bottom is clear and more golden yellow. Pours a thin half finger head.

Aroma- Sweet caramel malts dominate with some toasted grains present too.

Taste- First sip and nice citrus flavor hops are noticeable which then meld with sweet caramel malts. Finish is big on the toasted grains with a little bit of the bright citrus hops still lingering, which result in an slightly awkward clash in flavor.

Mouthfeel- A clean, crisp lager with medium body due to a solid malt backbone, but not too much that it lingers. Very good feel and drinkability.

Overall- A solid lager with bright citrus flavors and a nice malt backbone of caramel sweetness and toasted grains. Slight clash in flavors with the citrus and toasted grains, but its a minor flaw. If this beer was in my neck of the woods I'd gladly buy this on occasion as its a step up from lagers like yuengling and it makes for a nice food pairing beer. (81/100)

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pale gold color with a sizeable head and good lacing.

Somewhat run of the mill malty nose and typical lager smell and taste. Mouth feel is appropriate. Not a bad beer, but nothing really stands out.

Picked this up at a resort in Florida. Better than most of the stuff in the fridge, but well below some of the good lagers I have had.

Appearance: Light copper, white lacing, moderate head retention and good clarity. Would have liked a little more deeper color, perhaps an indicator of light grain bill.

Aroma: Good aroma, which is the best feature of this brew. Nice complexity, with layers of sweet caramel, toasty, and biscuit.

Taste: Clear flavors, although lacing the dynamic of the smell. Clean hop bitterness. Needs more malt backbone, as it drinks a little watery.

Mouthfeel: Crisp, light to medium body, which is very true to style. However, could remain in style range with a little more malts and the resulting body.

Overall: This beer is good, but not great. It certainly desires more love than it gets. It is a very refresher brew and on a nice hot day if I were to want a light malty beer, this would be a good selection. I do think if I were the recipe owner, I’d increase the malt bill by about 10%.

A: pours a clear, golden color, well-carbonated, beady white foam.

S: lightly toasty, but mainly corn is notable in the scent.

T: begins clean yet watery, corn notes in the smell are more subdued in the taste, hops are quite bitter, enveloping the palate and leaving a lingering finish.

O: basic lager, clean, bitterness gives it some character

Not much there.
No real smell or taste.
Some minute bubbles... No lacing... No head to speak of.
The color is OK, but that's about the best I can say for this beer.
Not worth the space it takes up in the refrigerator.
Now what do I do with the rest of the six pack.

Really couldn't distinguish this from one of my early homebrew recipes. These guys must be starting out in the craft business if this is their lager offering. Got 3 bottles as part of a monthly beer club. I guess I'll drink them...? Also got Key West Ale in the shipment which is also by Florida Beer. Hope it is an improvement.

A - Clear red hue with a 1.5 finger white head. Leaves some laces as it gradually disappears.

S - Not too much on the nose, some piney hops, but it's faint.

T - Comes in with caramel and two row malts first, then is followed by more of a bittering hop presence, mostly Northern Brewers as the description states. Hops are moderate but still noticeable. Finishes slightly bitter. Balance is generally good.

M - Fairly light for the style, easy enough to drink multiple beers in one sitting. Not quite sessionable though.

O - A decent Vienna lager. Nice to try to see the local take on the style, and a good update to their Ybor Gold Amber Lager. You can find better takes on the style though.
