The beer pours a clear orange amber color with a thin head that did not lace. The aroma of this brew is citrus hop forward with a light fresh grain malty sweetness that comes across a bit caramelized. The taste is a fresh graininess flavor with a solid backing of citrus bittering hops to counter the sweetness of the malt. This brew is medium bodied with a light level of carbonation. Overall well balanced and quite enjoyable. I would drink this again.

A - orange amber in color with an inch of fluffy white head.
S - A bit bitter with mostly grain and slight sweet.
T - Starts off kind of watery for 6 percent but touches with a slight hop, and then sweetness of caramel, and then a bitterness like a pale ale from the malt. Nice.
M - Light to medium bodied.
D - Well it was a nice amber ale but it just seemed less hoppy than it should be and came off more like an amber lager with more graininess than expected. Overall it was a good brew.

Review from notes taken yesterday at the brewpub.

"It's back and it is ice cold!!! Due to popular demand we bring this perfectly balanced amber ice beer back just for you. Remember to wear your gloves, this one could give you frost bite."

This brew pours a perfectly clear orange amber color with a creamy offwhite head that laces in a solid curtain all about the glassware. The aroma of this brew is citrus hop forward with a light fresh grain malty sweetness that comes across a bit caramelized. The taste is a fresh graininess flavor with a solid backing of citrus bittering hops to counter the sweetness of the malt. This brew is medium bodied with a light level of carbonation. Overall well balanced and quite enjoyable. I would drink this again.

On tap at Rivertowne Monroeville

A: Pours a burnt orangish brown amber color with a thick pillow of white head that is long lasting. There is plenty of lacing all down the glass.

S: There is a nice citrus bitter hop scent. It is also kind of sweet smelling as this warms. The caramel and bready malt character becomes more apparent.

T: The taste is quite balanced. The citrus hops hit the palate first, but are quickly balanced out in the middle and back end with sweet caramel and toast malt flavors. Nothing really overpowers.

M: A nice medium bodied beer with sufficient carbonation that leaves a slightly creamy taste on the palate.

D: A very nice brew from Rivertowne, easy to drink as it is quite balanced. Would seek this out again.
